I bet you guys can see the white part at the bottom with the very thin black lines going through it like a zen garden. Just out of wondering, what does this mean? I'm not a map expert, so I don't know myself, but could it be there to signify a raise in terrain, or even a neighborhood with very, very, very narrow streets? It's the opposite side of the city to Rockford Hills. Sorry, I meant the same pattern can be seen in the Rockford Hills area too Quarry is a good assumption too. The pattern also goes along the East coast in parts as well, and those two tiny islands. Could be sand/rocks? But then there's the pattern around the oval track also. jameznash Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 The oil field is a dusty dry area - a bit like desert - not much plants -SO is light in colour on a Map Blue prints are one colour - blue. They make up the lighter and darker shades by the blue to white ratio. I think the funny markings are not actual things but just the way the map has been created to show that shade of colour. There are a few areas in there that are white - look like small buildings - work huts maybe but the small lines I don't think mean anything. That's the problem with using blueprint on a map that is zoom out quite a lot - Look at the way the freeways blend into each other and the buildings in each block smudge into on block of colour even when there are lots of smaller buildings and alleyways inside that city block - See screen shots of the city - find it on the map - look how different they look on blueprint. JuventusFC Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 the closest thing I think it looks like is a golf course with the little white things resembling sand bunkers but from what we saw in pictures and trailer(s) I don't think it's in the right area. Got this on Wikipedia: "Topography (from Greek τόπος topos, "place", and γράφω graphō, "write") is a field of planetary science comprising the study of surface shape and features of the Earth and other observable astronomical objects including planets, moons, and asteroids."
