SE/CE digital content NOT cut from game!

So I've seen plenty of people complaining about the SE/CE digital content, mainly because we all don't like paying for an unfinished game and have to pay more to get the missing content. My point is, R* can't be that stupid for additional contents on SE/CE version - they are just activated from the start for SE/CE, otherwise we can still access it later on

Here's how it works, in my theory

The unique vehicles and weapons will not be available in shop or have spawn point at the start. Later on in mission we may encounter them being used by enemies, and you may take them for yourself once you finished your opponents. Or, you can complete odd jobs, finding collectibles... to trigger them to spawn / available in Shop

Similarly, bonus outfits will be earned when you complete side-mission, collecting them from a very-well-hidden places... SE/CE just cut that problem for you by giving them to your wardrobe at the start. The 25% fast regen for specialty bar obviously could be earned that way - you could do a lot of shooting / fighting / driving to unlock it for Michael / Trevor / Frankly, while SE/CE cut the problem and activate it for you from the start

For the custom online character, things may be a bit more complicated, but still manageable. You probably could buy the custom models via ingame money, and you may be required to have a certain level for some characters. This is not a problem with SE/CE, you get them for free. If you don't get SE/CE, you can get it by working hard

----------------------------------

Now, the reason I believe my statement above is valid, is because R* DID this in the past with their game (Namely LA Noire). There is a DLC that unlocks the Chicago Piano Gun in your cop car trunk, but that gun is actually available in one case (Used by the enemies, you can use it after you kill them and take the gun). So, it's likely that R* could do the same with these additional digital content - unlocking them for SE/CE from the start, but other people buying normal version can STILL get it if they work hard to unlock it

What do you think?

Stoic Intrusion

no.

EDIT: no seriously, i do think the stuff will be available but only per DLC ($).

I think... the files will always be there, so we'll just use the trainer on PC to access them like we did for gloves in IV.

Nope, the warhorse from RDR was exclusive to certain pre-orders. I never unlocked it, and I've completed rdr to 100%. It ain't gonna happen bro. You could either preorder the CE verison, or wait for GTA V: the Complete edition/ GOTY edition. That will have all the extras unlocked, just like RDR's version did.

They will most likely appear for a fee later on.

You can buy the war horse for 80 microsoft points.

I honestly think the Khamelion will be in the game but we will have to buy it in the vanilla version instead of having it in the beginning due to buying the CE of the game.

I agree, Rockstar isn't greedy, I just think they'll be making things easier for SE/CE owners and the rest can find them aswell ingame. Namely the weapons, I think the only difference is that in the CE you'll get them for free in Ammunation, in the normal edition you need to get them with in-game money like any other weapon.

In my opinion - those who have the Special and Collectors Editions of GTA V will likely have to input redeemable codes to access the additional content - much like how other game developers have done so in recent times; and release them for download at a later date. Rockstar did this with Red Dead Redemption and its Deadly Assassin Outfit.

However, the theory of them already being in the game does seem plausible; mainly speaking, for the additional weapons (they could however be made so that no actual enemies use them and thus, can only be acquired via the Special/Collector's Editions) and the special ability boost. However the bonus outfits, multiplayer characters and other stuff will likely have to be added to the game via redeemable codes or downloaded at a later date, IMO.
