regenerating health means RDR style damage system

I think in gta 5 it will take fewer shots to kill you, like in RDR. So that is why they have regenerating health. It will be just like RDR's health system, which is a great thing. The game won't be ''easier'' just because of the regenerating health; actually it would make the game more enjoyable.

This is probable true. I loved how getting shot felt in RDR. Even with regenerating health, you could die much faster and it felt like the weapons were much more dangerous than GTA IV.

I like health bar mostly because it makes use of the city's food joints and side stands.

You can still use them. Remember its only filling up 50% of your health.

Yeah, I know, I'm just saying. I think this new system is going to be a good fun system that helps the game in action and necessity.

A real western legend moves with skill and swiftness whilst still remaining spot on with his shots. smile.gif

It also helps the game's immersion as you want to enjoy your time in the wilderness without dying, right? regenerating health allows everyone to enjoy their adventures in the wilderness, whether it be shootouts in the forests or experiences with animals. - I know for sure that it will be MUCH easier to die than in previous GTA. This is why game informer said cover plays a huge part in the action aspects of the game.

You putting it like that gives a good point to the new health. Sounds fun, really.

I personally take kind to the side of progressivism. Keep building for a better and better system. Or we'd we still be in sky view gameplay.

Personally, I think the health bar from gta 4 was broken, but then again, we all have our different tastes; r* has simultaneously catered to the people who like the health system in gta 4 and those who liked it in RDR by only making the health regenerate 50%.

I loved the weapon damage in RDR. Any situation felt like death was round the corner.

Hopefully health doesn't regen during shootouts or chases, that was a very big flaw with RDR's system.

You see, I liked GTA IV's health because it forced dedicated urban warfare where you had to use your surroundings and be careful cause if you got nicked you would have to keep dragging through while still trying to be more and more careful until you just couldn't take anymore and just gave out.

Whilst Red Dead didn't have all those buildings and had far more open spaces so regen was an obvious choice as you couldn't use your surroundings as well as you could in GTA IV. In Red Dead I honestly felt invincible unless I got surrounded but that rarely happened. But with regen, combat was more up in your face and allowed more risky and bold moves which I enjoyed.

So I can safely say I enjoy this new hybrid system and feel it's going to be pretty good and fun with both sides of these playstyles.

I think it will be similar to Max Payne 3 since both games have 50% slow regeneration and GTAV's combat gameplay is similar to MP3. The funny thing is I would say MP3 is even more brutal for beginners than RDR. You take a shot to the head in MP3 single player your dead, you run straight into gunfire without using some fancy footwork you'll be dead in like 5 seconds.

Yeah I hope the health system is like RDR, on IV all you had to know if you were gonna die or not is that little bar round the minimap and when you're focusing on a huge police war you don't notice that sh*t, it will be so exciting in a huge shootout on GTA V and the screen starts going red and blurry and you have to run for cover, occasionally popping out to shoot back and risking your life. Makes it more real and fun

Not going to happen, health bars are back since health regenerates to 50% and you still have to eat to get all of it back.

Play in hardcore and you would be dead in 2 seconds. lol.gif

Max Payne 3 is hands down the hardest R* game i've ever played.

Max Payne doesn't regenerate health 50%, it regenerates the head which i think is 10% incase you fall or something. (IV Flaw, get tapped once = DEAD)

If you want to be frustrated, play Max Payne 3 New York Minute Hardcore. yea, that would get your panties in a bunch. tounge.gif

also didn't manhunt1 have a damage health system that rdr had. i mean the diff. level was pretty dang hard just like it was in gta3. and you can get killed very quickly in like 3sec flat if you weren't careful.
