Funny there weren't many of these topics when people were bashing gta IV for the last four years

You're all a bunch of hypocrites

Holding content back to sell in another form is wrong. That's half the reason many of us dislike siants row; they cancelled dlc to make it a full game. In game content should b available for everyone free of charge in the actual game

Real world bonuses like clothing or artwork is fine.

You say 'how dare you complain' I say 'how dare you blindly follow'

It's just pathetic, absolutely pathetic. You all loved zee and look at his views. You feel free to bash IV because its not SA but when rockstar go down the ubisoft road of cutting content to sell again, no one is allowed to voice their opinions? Jesus what will happen when you leave school and get a job, and learn you have to work that one Saturday and miss your football match? What will you shout at your boss?

For those of you that think holding ANY conten back for priced dlc or editions of games, is ok; you're the reason activision and ea and ubisoft consistently rape the market. Without those of us who are hard to please, gta would be a yearly COD style franchise.

Get over yourselves

Can people stop crying like little kids? These editions have BONUSES and ADDITIONAL stuff in it, its not been cut out from the game, or is HIGHLY likely to arrive on the PSN/Marketplace later on as free packs or cheap DLC's.

I'm going for the first option.

NOT ME.

I couldn't stand the c*nt!

Oh and can someone tell me how it's additional when the games not even out yet? It's clearly stuff that's been HELD BACK with the one intention of being sold again.

Imagine watching Scarface; but that epic scene in the restaurant is missing. Sure the film is still good but it's lacking something. Something small but to get it u gotta buy the directors cut for twice the price

Say good night to the bad guy

It's all about money at the end of the day and by lying down and opening your asshole up, you've ruined gta for future games

Gta vi will most mikel have weapon packs and clothes removed and ON DISC DLC. Well done, you're allowing R* to become ubisoft.

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

I don't agree with you but if I did buying the game is an option. If you really want it you will find a way.

I'm going for the first option.

The Classic Multiplayer characters pack is at least been made as a incentive to buy the collectors edition and sell as DLC later rather than it been in the game from the start. This is the issue people have. It's not R* who are to blame but Take-Two.

I hear your concerns and I too am a little cautious of what R* might become (although I still have hope). However, I will say this, even though GTA is popular enough to stand on its own, R* still has to remain competitive as a business. From their perspective, they're seeing all these popular franchises offering DLC like this and they see that it's popular.

Offering content in this manner has become the standard now, not the exception. I'm not saying that excuses bullsh*ttery and excluded content turned into DLC, but I think it's important to understand the reasoning behind it. Although, I think it's important to keep R* in check if it gets out of hand, but I'm not entirely sure how we'd go about doing that.

Agree with 99% of that, except keeping Rockstar in check. We are just dudes sitting and typing while watching sportscenter. We are just the consumer. We don't keep companies in check, they do their own thing. Whether it's Rockstar, Wal-Mart or Johnny's Pizzeria.

What people need to realize is, and this is true nearly 100% of the time.

LMFAO. This statement is beyond ridiculous good sir, and you being 13 years older than me makes it a bit shocking that you fail to see how wrong that statement is. For example, At FYE, Taylor Swift's album "Red" costs about 16 bucks. Michael Jackson's "Thriller", a remastered CD with Bonus Tracks, costs about 8 bucks.... so by this logic, Taylor Swift's music is better than Michael Jackson's, or just as good as a Beatles album (ala Abbey Road) that also costs 16 bucks. Now, its obviously a difference if we are talking about opinions here, but its pathetic to make such a statement as if it is a fact. If it costs more, its only INTENDED to be better.

Also, I understand that people don't have the money for these editions. I definitely have the money to buy either edition (Love having a career), but even as a consumer in my position, a person has a right to not agree with the gimmicks thrown in these editions. People can like the the extra features thrown in with these editions, and simultaneously, they can dislike the fact that you have to pay extra for these features as opposed to getting them from the start.

From what I have read in the past couple of pages, if you turn a blind eye to every flaw in a company's product, then you are not a true fan.... unbelievable.

Taylor Swift sucks and this coming from a guy that has a necrophilian avatar. This is what I think of Michael Jackson to be honest...

So are we judging people by their avatars now? Pretty childish of you, but this is the GTA V section, no surprise there. I've had this avatar long before you joined here, so what's the point?

And yes, that video is still hilarious after all these years. Hope you didn't think you were going to ruffle my feathers by posting this video. I was merely using the albums as an example.

Who pays for music anymore anyway? Apple sheep? Music was a bad example on your part. Mine earlier was food. Depending on how rich you are, who does not enjoy an expensive meal at a fancy restaurant over top ramen? I do.

We are not just the consumer

We're are their wage payers. We buy their product and they have to please us. If we're not happy.....

Customer is always right

But I DO have faith that rockstar won't end up like ea or whatever

They've shown their intentions now of charging us extra. Hopefully it'll stay as tiny things at least. Better to miss out on a car for a month than half the game story (look at assassins creed two - the story jumped ahead because they wrote a gap in the story. Then the dlc arrived and it was crap and broken.

But you need to realise we are not JUST the consumer. We are THEIR masters

They answer to us, as would a restaurant if they served you raw meat - you would not accept it.

Sorry sir, the bun for your burger costs extra

Does Wal-Mart answer to you? Best Buy? The market decides price points. People will pay what the market will bear. Some people do not understand simple economics.

Agreed, loyal diehard customers but customers just the same. I buy groceries from Wal-Mart. Why...because they are the cheapest and closest to my home. Why am I buying GTA V CE. Because it is my favorite franchise and I spend more time playing GTA than any extracurricular activity and it will be money well spent. If you only so-so like GTA or do not play it that often, may not be worth it to you. BTW, this is the first game I have ever done this. Almost did it with GTA IV and did not, almost did it with GOW 3 and did not. Now I regret it on both.

Apparently, a lot of people still pay for music. Ever heard of Album Sales? That's because, you know, people are spending money on that artist's album, just as a consumer does BUYING a game. Its not a bad example if the same principle applies.

And just because a meal is more expensive doesn't mean its better. I'd take Red Lobster and Applebee's over some fancy restaurant where I have to pay 100 bucks for a plate that has 2 noodles on it and a spoon full of rice. Surely I have the 100 bucks, but I can still spend it on something better that costs less. Of course, something that costs more is only intended to be better is most aspects. For example, a Jaguar costs more than a Toyota. A Jaguar is a lot more sexier, appealing, has the great luxury appointments and a powerful engine. However, the cheaper Toyota is better in the sense that its better on gas mileage than the Jaguar. Now, depending on what your preferences are, this may or may not matter, but still, its the principle behind it.

I am 23 and single man. As for your question, I honestly think about it a lot, and depending on my answer I can already see where you are going with this.

If I were to win the lottery, I'd probably buy a Bentley Contennintal GT Speed. I don't really car for the Bugatti Veyron like most people do.

Right you could afford a super expensive nice car so you would buy one. I gotta 55 inch tv, my dad has a 73 inch tv...Why...Because he has more money than I do...I don't get on samsungtv.com and whine about not having a bigger tv. MAKE DUE WITH WHAT LIFE GIVES YOU.

Yes, I saw your Porsche comment and I agree with that tenfold. My boss has a Bentley, but I don't go to him and get pissed at him because he has one and I don't. I agree with what you are saying here, especially the bit in caps. Don't complain if you cannot live outside of your means.
