ilmurtino
Unfortunately people in general are tight as f*ck and think they are entitled to everything when they pay as small amount as possible. When you buy a car do you go into the showroom and cry because they won´t give you the biggest engine and every option included in the base price? No, you shut the f*ck up and realize that when you are in business you are in it to make money. Rockstar doesn´t care if some tightwads decide to not buy their game, you are in a very small minority. Work a bit harder and you can afford it.
AuSsIeThUnDeR36
Just think that the money you pay towards Rockstar Games helps pay them to create even more brilliant games. Their employees need to be PAID. They are not doing all this work for free JUST for your enjoyment y'know. If you didn't preorder and secure a better exclusive copy then I'm sorry but that's your fault. You've only had like since November 2012 to start paying it off. So you've got yourself to blame. Enough with blaming R* Thank you Rockstar Games for all the brilliant work you have put into this. $169 I have paid for this please take it and put it towards your hard working developers. Machine Head
If you were in my shoes you'd understand...A lot of people seem to forget, that not everyone find important the same kind of stuff, something that is small for one person isn't for another! If "just one car" and "just one gun" is very small for you, then well...good for you, but its not the case with me! Besides i don't like the fact alone, that someone somewhere got "complete" game (yes...even though its just ONE car and ONE gun like you said...but thats not the point!...)...So its more like principal for me! And you are free to spend the extra 90 USD to get the CE if that crap means that much to you. That's the great thing about capitalism, you don't have to buy what you don't want, and usually you can buy what you do want. For those that could care less about a garage, 2 (+1 for MP) cars, some guns, superpowers, and some stunts, they can buy the standard game for 60 bucks (the same price the games were going for 8 years ago), and for those that have to have all the little things, you can do so for a price. For me, its the Standard Edition. I have too many other hobbies to spend time and money on to worry about 'missing' a small section of the game. couldn't*
Vortexz0r
It just seems that lots of people change their minds to quickly. First they say Rockstar games is the best company, then they say they dont know what they do and at the end they are all happy again lol. I know it sucks to pay more money to get bonuses ingame but nearly everyone does. But they said gta v will be their biggest game so I think they need a bigger profit
shattered-minds
Those complaining about the special edition exclusives,No other 60 dollar game packs as much new sh*t and sh*t to do as GTA V does. This is a living breathing massive world with soo much sh*t to explore and do with 3 fully formed polished character storys. A f*ckin Tetris game last year and the next identical fifa game this year cost 60 dollars. This f*ckin 18 AAA games in one game is the same price. All theyre taking out is a f*cking gun and car. Give them the extra doe and feel good youre not daylight robbing Rockstar for giving us this gift. That last sentence negated everything you had said prior to it. It is not a gift, it is a product for sale. They are not a charity, but a Profit driven company. Yes, all they are taking out is a gun and a car, oh and stunt plane missions... and then telling you if you want them, you have to fork out over double the original cost of the game to get them. It's all well and good adding extra physical things to the extra packages, but don't blackmail us with game content that should have been included in the first place, that's worse than day1 DLC. People have their reasons for not wanting or liking the special and collectors editions, be it on principal or financial situations. It is not your place to judge people for them. FranticFatality
It's the GTA V section of GTAForums, a cesspool of idiots. What're you gonna expect in the average topic, constructive discussion? Ha ha, this exactly.

DS 17
You are comparing it to games like FIFA? In fact GTA is pretty much the same. The only time when they changed a lot was the step between GTA II and GTA III. But since then the system is working on the same way. Sure, they improved the graphics and the AI, but the same did FIFA. So, don't be such a stupid fanboy and learn how to deal with others criticism, although you are not even concerned. "Give them the extra doe and feel good youre not daylight robbing Rockstar for giving us this gift." I don't know what to say to this sentence. Are you really that stupid? R* is more and more money-grubbing like EA is. It all started with the DLCs since IV and continues and gets stronger with every other title, I am sure. So you do really think they are giving us a gift? You are ridiculous. And you sound like a 12 year old boy, happy to be kidded by a money-grubbing company. If you really had principles, then you'd see how a R* game is nothing ordinary and how it is actually worth over 100 $ in comparison to all the trash out there. That is so far from the truth i cannot even begin to explain. Oh please explain. I can't without going to far off topic, and then it results in things getting locked. But seriously just think about the fact that sometimes you pay for the brand name and not the item. Not saying that is the case with GTA V in anyway. But it applies to your thinking of "the more it costs the better it is"
wwinterj
Oh please explain. Paying more for something doesn't mean it's better least of all in video games. Call of Duty for example is £45 where as games like Skyrim are £40. Does this mean COD is better? Hell no. That's just a example.
ugotsmoked
If said product is not worth the extra $$$, the consumer stops buying it and that product/company goes belly up. ugotsmoked
Ok then, this is how commerce works. Prices are determined by the the market will bear/consumer will pay. This is dictated by general trends and past consumer history. If Rockstar thought fans would pay $199.99 for all the extras, that would be the price point. MuXu96
I just pay 130€ for my favorite game which comes out only like every 5 years, instead of paying ~60€ (maybe +50€ DLC) every year (*5) for some other game (even tho the other game is maybe pretty cool). Well that's my calculation I can't talk for you^^
