It's not just a simple port, you have to completely rewrite a lot of the code because the architecture is completely different. If it does come out for the PS4/Xbox One/PC version does come out, it won't be for about a year after the PS3/360 version. A year? You crazy? Even GTA IV PC version was released after some months than console versions, not a year. GTA 5 is ALOT bigger than GTA4. EA also made available for pre-order BF4, and other companies did the same and the box art of the new consoles looks exactly like these: http://www.battlefield.com/battlefield-4/buy/xbox-one It's more then clear that the big retailers know something, the leak of the DE company of the SE version everyone said was fake and became real also confirms that the PC uncut version announced and confirmed by the same retailer is true. By now there are too many leaks to put them aside. XB360, PS3 in September, XB1, PS4, Wii U and possibly PC in November as Next Gen launch title it's becoming the most possible scenario each day the news come out. Like I said plenty of times, no retailer specially with a big name would risk their head with fake pre-orders and leaks... the only one that doesn't this out is R* for the sake of their money, they want people to buy the game 1, 2 or even 3 times and a reason for MS and SONY to sell more consoles, something they couldn't do with GTAIV and all the millions both companies paid. I guess you just looked at the pretty picture and didn't read what was said? The retailer is saying it's NOT coming to Xbrick One and PrayStation 4. Why is this still open? Kirsty? Vansand? They have experience from Max Payne 3, GTA IV and all those RAGE games... and you don't know a sh*t about what they are doing, maybe they already started to develop the PC version, but they won't tell you. They have experience from Max Payne 3, GTA IV and all those RAGE games... and you don't know a sh*t about what they are doing. what has that to do with how long it takes to port a game and how do you know they havent started porting a pc version for GTA4 the same time? A few more months of work and they can make a lot more money for relatively little work. And don't say they won't sell a lot of copies because the consoles are new. Stores still have Grand Theft Auto IV in their main display case, 5 years after release. GTA V for next Gen will sell a lot of copies, maybe not in the first year, but later on. S1LV3R_W0LF Posted May 25, 2013 Share Posted May 25, 2013 Most likely because they fixed their lame mistake of "you need computers from the future to run this game decently" with GTAIV on PC and even for the consoles, they used XBOX360 as lead platform and then ported it to PS3 (one of the reasons for the delay) and then PC. This time they don't have a lead platform and they are doing XB360 and PS3 separately and I believe the same goes for PC, they're doing what they did with Max Payne 3. If they do the port for next gen just takes around 6 months, and if you remember right R* had an urgent call for Next Gen coders early this year... first I thought they could be recruiting people to start working in the Next Gen Engine, but with so much work right now all resources should be used for V, which means they needed those recruits for something closer. Like they did with the special edition leak The SE leak was because they're a retailer. Retailers get that information early, but they're supposed to keep their mouths shut. R* may not even know for sure what versions they will release in the future. Of course some German retailer wouldn't have that information. R* would NEVER tell anybody about any other version until the the PS3 and 360 versions release. We won't even know about a possible PC version until then. Max Payne 3 had three R* studios working on it at once, that's why it went so fast. V is many times bigger than IV, let alone Max Payne.
