I'm late to this party but I agree with op

While I have not seen a single person suggest its too cheap, paying more than 40 is absurd

 

I am a product of the era where a new game was 29.99, and that was for AAA titles. B lists were 24.99.

Now gaming is a multimillion pound market unfortunately. It was only a matter of time before r* sold out

I think we're lucky we lasted this long, an gta ivs dlc did it right.

 

Holding in game content back is nothing short of extortion. Would you a wot it if you watched a film, lets say scarface, but the two famous lines were omitted from the 'standard' edition? Imagine the film without 'say good night to the bad guy'

Sure the film would still work but you're being held hostage by the makers

 

Same for gaming. Physical stuff - artwork soundtrack cd etc - is brilliant for the collectors ed. I had the collectors ed of AC2 and acr as well as splinter cell conviction (sadly that was the deth o that series in my eyes)

 

But I digress. I earn my own money via work so I know the value of it. Dropping more than 45 on a game is not a option. I think MP3 was the last new game I bought. Gta is my beloved but I feel like that's turned on me now

Sure ill get over it and buy the game, maybe even the spec ed but paying an extra 60 for one in game car? f*ck off.

 

It'll all be dlc anyway, as was the case with la noire. Season pass will get you it.

Its not really that big of an amount of money to a person with a regular income and a decent job.. Its is a lot to spend on 1 single game though. Especially when you get nothing that makes it worth it for such a higher price.

It doesn't really matter because Rockstar would never do that even if 30% of their consumer base suggested it.

Amen, OP. GTAV should be the same price as CoD and FIFA After all, they are on the same scale, right? Those games take 2 years to make, and GTA takes a few years to make, and R* make the games for the consumers mainly, and the profit as a second priority.

We should pay by the hour and there should be an extra charge every time we switch characters. There should be a fuel system for all vehicles and we should pay real money when we want more petrol and that money should go to real oil companies.

 

R* shouldn't get too crazy though. They should just keep it simple for the fans, like real life court fees for getting busted and medical bills when you get wasted. Maybe they could even include a sky tax. If we fly aircraft we should pay a premium, because most games keep you on the ground.

 

But it should be the player's choice. If you don't want to pay, you could choose the every hour(in-game) pop-up ad plan.

$70aud is the most ill pay for a game these days.

Gta v game only is $110 which I'm willing to pay for because it's GTA. I wouldn't be paying much more that that for GTA V.

No other game is good enough to make me want to spend that much.

And I'm currently on a decent income of $110,000 a year.

That's funny because I have never seen a newly released PS3 game sell for less than $60 (including the yearly releases such as EA games)

 

I'm not paying $60 to get an incomplete game

I'll wait until the price drops to $40 or less

 

I bought Final Fantasy XIII new for $20 and it doesn't even have any DLC

Not only that but you get special PS3 themes for getting some trophies
