Whether you do it now or 10 minutes before release...a preorder is a preorder. I'm assuming that if you get it with preorder there will either be a blimp parked at the airport or a marker you can enter to board the blimp. My question is...does this blimp have an interior? My only question is how would anyone board it? I doubt it ever lands or anything. Pre-order now to gain the ability to pilot the most iconic and leisurely aircraft in the Los Santos skies ok so if rockstar say that you can pilot the aircraft then it turned out to be a tour around the city it would make rockstar look bad in a way because if it was the case that it was a tour then they shouldn't have put you get to pilot it they should have put you gain access to a tour around the city or something along the lines of that. I doubt very much rockstar would lead us to believe we could fly the blimp for them then to say nope it is just a action camera tour YAWN they no what there doing and they now what there saying. What I mean is that the Atomic Blimp might just be a special one and that there are several other normal blimps already in the game. Fisciletti Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 Here's my theory: Flying it will be nice, although it will be very slow. Getting the blimp will be easy. There'll be a spot in Sandy Shores or Blaine County where it'll be parked, waiting for us. Then we press the button to enter it, just like it was a common vehicle. It's probably called "Atomic Blimp". We'll have to land it on the same spot, but we may also cause mayhem with it, parking on highways, the beach, small streets, etc.. There's probably a cheat to spawn it. When we crash it I guess it won't just explode, only if it's a big collision. Also, shooting it may cause an explosion. It would just fall to the ground. If we remain inside it, we'll die. But we can try parachuting. A possible mission use would be going inside the blimp, probably as Michael or Franklin, get it high in the air, and then snipe (just like someone said before on this thread). Every vehicle will be customisable, so we'll probably be able to improve a very small bit of performance. I doubt we'll be able to change its color. He said what if they fooled us and made it into a tour ride instead of us riding it. Why would they do that? That is all i was saying. People seem to be going mental over the CE and SE. ALSO: When I bought Black Ops 2, it was a week after release and it still had the pre-order code for the Nuketown 2023, or whatever year, map. I got it a month after release and still found the code. Pre-order content only means it's included in the first set of shipments of the game. There's no way they will all sell out on day 1. I think (as sad as it is) CoD has a bigger audience than GTA so you'll be safe just purchasing this game within the first few weeks and getting the blimp. I got Fallout New Vegas in Febuary of 2011, it came out October of 2010, and it still had the pre order bonus code. That's four months. So people could very well be safe with this as well. It could serve as a mobile base jumping location. Would be cool for creating impromptu Cannon Ball Runs. Everybody jump out of the blimp over Mt. Chiliad/Salton Sea. That was extremely convenient and I'm sure a lot of users played it while they re-read the post. Anyways, I don't think the blimp will fly like a plane nor a helicopter - I imagine it'll have its own completely unique feeling of flying. I'm also very curious as to how we will fly the Blimp - maybe if we pre-order GTAV, the blimp will have a set spawn location (like Sultan RS). I think it might be heavily guarded at the airport, but those who preorder will be able to bybass them without conflict. When it gets shot, I bet there may be some kind of gas spray that comes out (similar to shooting pressurized tanks/water tanks in IV). When it gets too damaged, I bet the balloon itself will catch on fire and the craft will begin falling out of the sky, until it hits the ground, and explodes. I bet a mission may involve flying it over the city for some kind of reconnaissance. As I said in an earlier post: Who wants to drive a blimp, there slow as f*ck This had made me think "Why would Rockstar put a Blimp in a game? Wouldn't it be quite boring?" Obviously, Rockstar has a lot of faith in their newly created Southern California setting. The Blimp is big, slow, and otherwise not much fun to pilot. The only thing it really has going for it is the view. Rockstar has so much faith in their new world, that even flying a Blimp at 30 mph will be a wonderful ride, worth hours of gameplay, simply for the reason of gazing at the wonderful, detailed landscape they have created. That is probably the underlying message in making a Blimp the big bonus for preordring. That they know that when you are in the highly detailed, lively, open world of San Andreas, even sitting in a huge, lumbering, oversized balloon can't be boring. Would make it very entertaining. Lol - yea I think I'll enjoy looking at the blimp through the scope attached to my sniper rifle OT - It'll be slow as it is a tourists sight seeing vehicle, access will be either from on top of a skyscraper or, my best bet, it'll be 'parked/anchored' the country somewhere. Animation - opens door and walks in. There may be a mix of it exploding in the air and/or deflating. When it falls out the sky maybe the balloon part can get caught on objects (corners of buildings etc). I too hope that we can parachute out of the blimp whenever and be able to shoot out of it... would be brilliant to snipe from and/or shoot rpg's from it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The control surfaces are as big as barn doors, they are not power-assisted. On a turbulent day, the pilot might find himself half standing in the seat as he lays both feet onto one big rudder pedal to force the ship into a turn. For the most part the blimp is a relaxing joy to fly. The slow cruise speed is a special treat for a pilot used to fixed-wing flight, since he can gaze out and observe the passing landscape in much finer detail.
