If the numbers are that limited everywhere, then I can probably look forward to being mugged on Sept. 17th at the midnight launch for my Collector's Edition.. lol. Can you post some pics or an unboxing video when you get you CE? Him and 100s of others, baby. In fact, knowing the past, some employees will probably leak it onto the internet before street date. Actually I've done some research and I think the price is just a placeholder. Hahaahahah that sounded so funny, you 'reasearched' , it says in the desc on webhallen that it may be a placeholder, but when cdon also has the same price I don't think it's just a placeholder , anyhow it sucks that its so expensive. Found a collectors edition in uk for 1200kr with free shipping overseas, but because of the size of the package they could not ship it "/ Actually I didn't see that message on Webhallen, I read on forums and other websites about how they typically put a placeholder price on certain products. Works every single time Yeah I always pre-order from Amazon.. but they don't sell the Collectors Edition, at least not yet I pre-ordered Battlefield 3 on Gamestop and got it on the same day I believe but I think they offered a release date option on shipping, for GTA V I don't see one. Although if one of them cancels their Xbox CE pre-order, it goes straight to me. In the meantime i went with the special edition. Only $10 more than Standard. And It's one of the largest Gamestop's in my area. Same goes for online shops! gionascm2 I recommend everybody who is getting it, go outside NOW and pre-order! / order online Even if you don't have the money, or are waiting for a possible next-gen port, or if you're not sure if you want the CE yet, just pre-order the CE anyways ($5 minimum), and you can cancel your pre-order, downgrade it, switch console versions (eg PS3 to PS4), and/or you can pay the rest later if you decide you do infact want the CE. Because of this, I recommend everyone to pre-order the CE ASAP if they're so much as considering the CE. You have nothing to lose - you can only gain. CE is worthless to me. Seems like they were trying to get rid of the CE at the one I went to, they told me some guy came in and cancelled his preorder entirely because he was mad about the CE and SE DLC bonuses. PS3 isn't region locked so you nothing's stopping you unless you just can't deal with not getting it on day of release! *edit* you'll probably be able to get it cheaper, too, despite the extra shipping! Yeah but some games don't work properly online. For any Australians, buy from the UK. I was talking about online though, but I think they don't charge your card until the game ships. It just feels weird purchasing something that takes over three months to actually charge my card. My GameStop hasn’t even ran out of those GTAV posters yet, whereas I’ve heard stories of others running out of them, so I do have some hope that I’ll be able to get the CE by Sunday or Monday which is the earliest I’ll be able to make it into town. @canttakemyid I'd pre-order right now if you could. Amazon has failed me in the past anyways, got 'Release Day Shiping' once and it got here nearly a week after release, I'll go with GameStop again from now on after that, the 20 miles to the town it's in isn't to bad IMO.
