I know Gaikai will stream games to the PS4 via the cloud but, can it stream GTA V?

 

It's really hard choosing w/c cosnole to buy especially this "generation-shift era".

Do you own a PS3 now? Is your PS3 going to explode when the PS4 is released? With all your PS3 equipment vaporise when Sony push out the PS4?

 

Streaming will mainly work for titles purchased digitally through the PSN, NOT Disc Based Games, which for most would be a kick in the teeth, but for anyone subscribed to PlayStation Plus, they'll have built up a collection of Digital Owned Games over the past year or so.

Sony will use cloud gaming to allow the system to access older PlayStation back catalogue

 

PS1,PS2, and PS3 titles will be availible trough streaming on the PS4, though will we see GTA V? Highly likely, but I'm guessing it will take some time. But eventually every game will be re-released on the streaming service.

gaikai will take a few years before everyone can use it. from what i understand, you need servers every 50 ping or so to stream all these games. the last time i tried gaikai on my browser it was terrible because it was 300+ ping away from me

I was thinking about the availability of PS3 games on the PS4 and how it might take long before Rockstar Games' games are streamed via Gaikai.

 

It would be a waste of money if I bought a ps3, then months later, a much better console w/c plays the same games as the PS3 came out.

Sony is going to support the PS3 until at least 2017, just like EA stated.

 

I would believe that many titles will not be made available for the PS4 streaming service until they stop supporting the PS3.

 

Starting with releasing titles from 2006, and then gradually working their way up to current times.

 

It might take a while before the whole collection is added to the GaiKai service.

Thanks for the answer. I was supposed to buy a 360 until I realized that there's a much cheaper 500gb PS3 Superslim available in a local Sony store in my City w/c is about $250 compared to the $350 4gb X360 with kinect(only option for a x360). Kinect is just a gimmick for me, so it's really a ripoff. Another reason I want the PS3 more now is because I am broke and I am planning to buy games in the future.

 

I have only a couple hundred of dollars in my bank account. And I'm a teenager, BTW.
