GTA Master Blaster Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 So yesterday I pre-ordered my GTA V collectors Edition on Shopto.net However looking on Rockstar Games official Pre-Order list this morning, they don't have Shopto.net listed only game & zavvi (who are asking an eye watering (£149.99) Why isn't Rockstar listing Shopto.net? It's not like it's even worth 150, a hat which no one would wear outside, a bag which no one would use, and a couple bonuses that would be dlc later on. I'll just get the special edition. Wouldn't it be a code, in which case Rockstar would put that code it all retail versions of the GTA V case and then it would be a case of redeeming it through PS Store or Xbox Merkitplace. TheMarkofZollo Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 Game are usually pretty good for delivery on or before release, they just can't guarantee it but they dispatch for arrival on release. Zavvi are a bunch of money grabbing w****rs! Buy from there if you want to pay more and receive it a day or two after release (I gave them way too many chances!). They tend to send a pre-order on release day rather than above. It's no wonder they had to close all high-street shops though, you will find products will be priced at RRP years after release, even in their sales they tend to be more expensive than other shop's standard prices. The PC/PS4/XO versions will have all these extras included probably.... RS got greedy big time even though they know for the first time ever fans will double dip for current and next gen versions. But still I'm so excited, hope I don't have to wait ages for it to be delivered though Off-topic, whats every ones thoughts on a next-gen release? I'm just thinking I'd rather have it on PS4 or Xbox One just because when ever I want to play GTA V I'll have to swap back over to the 360! Where in the country are you? Zavvi are part of The Hut group, essentially comes from the same warehouse etc. and they are (expectedly therefore) just as rubbish for pre-orders, they have always let me down. I can't recall a time that Game missed the release for me but that might just be where I live or something... The Special Edition is exclusive to GAME (and Rockstar Warehouse). Any other retailer will only have the Standard and Collector's Edition. ainsz Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) Just so you guys know, I asked at Game today in my town if they would be doing a midnight launch and the bloke said "definitely" and that they expect it to be their biggest launch this year. Also, I'm not certain if this applies to online per orders but at least for in store per orders, you have to put down a deposite. Standard - £5.00 Special Edition - £10.00 Collector's Edition - £20.00 And they are totally fine with customers changing the version they per order.
