GTA V is looking to be the best game that Rockstar ever releases. It will bring in millions and it will break records. The preorder/launch DLC is nothing to get up in arms about. They are just incentives to get people to pre order. Theyve done it for other games so its nothing new. It doesn't actually take away from the game. Buying the standard edition is fine. It's just little bonuses for those who want a bit more than just the standard game. I wouldn't do it for many other companies but I'm seriously considering dropping £120 for the collector GTA V edition. Those who are too glued to Rockstar will tell any user who says something negative that they are 'complaining', but that's not what it is. I don't like how Rockstar is going down the EA path, but I'm expressing my opinion and that shows I can give some criticism. So if you think a user is complaining, they may simply be helping Rockstar or expressing to other users what they think of something. After all, a forum is dedicated to users sharing their opinions, right? I dislike how everyone ks saying there taking the ea path when there not. You guys all now after 6 months of release all of the content will be available in one copy for a reduced fee at gamestop lol Why should I pay extra for content that was cut? I will have the game for PC by then, and I don't want to put in more for cut content. So youre really upset that they cut out 3 or 4 things of content out of 1000 thjngs to do in this game? The fact that I get to play as three different characters was enough for me, but their biggest map ever! come on bro, I know u not that mad at R* No, I am not 'mad' at Rockstar, simply disappointed that they pulled this trick. You're not getting a bad product by buying the normal version, but you have the feeling you miss something because of the extra's in the other editions. It's just a psychological marketing trick to get people to keep wanting more. You feel like you've missed something? The chance is bigger you buy the more expensive version or get the DLC later. But this isn't just Rockstar, it's all companies that do this, so it's pointless to whine about. It's nearly impossible to do something against, after all, we all buy the game anyway. As for the map size and other complaints about the content: most of it is ill-informed or without any arguments. The map is bigger than ever, only the city problably isn't bigger than LC, which is fine. Rockstar has never disappointed with content in games (especially GTA), and they won't now. They make excelent design decisions. They might've been able to create a large city, but that wouldn't be fun, then the streets would just be endless houses with nothing to do and a long drive to every activity. Idk about IV. No one's doubting GTAV as a whole. The crisis just seems to be the mass lowering of standards as many people were expecting more square mileage in the early days of the V hype. If anything, 90% of all criticism of V seems to be limited to the map issues. Oh please, stop complaining about GTA IV! I get so sick and tired of you folks. GTA IV is one of the best games Rockstar has ever created and one of the best games this gen, most critics and fans can agree on this. I'm so sick and tired of how some of you forum dwellers act like you're the majority while you in fact are a tiny minority who hates everything thats popular and you don't seem to be able to come with any reasonable arguments at all againts GTA IV. Sure, IV is not a perfect game, no game is, it has its small flaws, just like any other game out there, but to say it's a bad game? I just don't get it. So I agree with OP, Rockstar ALWAYS provide quality for their games. Hell, if theres any games that has quality, it's GTA IV, it might not have as much quantity as SA, but it sure has more quality and detail. I trust R*, but people have every right to be concerned about a developer that can quickly switch things up like R* does. R* makes great games, but they also tend to piss off certain fans. Just look at MP3. I enjoyed it, but I had a bunch of problems with certain things R* chose to do with that game. Some people hated it. R* is a top developer, but far from perfect IMO. I like this community because it is not full of weirdos and crazy people (at least not all of us) and there are a lot of other communities and forums on the internet that are way worse. Sure I wait to play the game but its not the worlds end if it doesnt meet all the expectations. And im not really shocked about those pre order news. There is ways around it though. Buy the complete edition down the road. Personally I'll be going with the normal edition and buying these in-game items once they are on PSN for everyone so I'm not that bothered about it. Especially now that GTAV is on the horizon, you will meet a bunch of members that will complain about the most trivial things; and there is a lot of trolling and spamming going on too. It wasn't much different in the pre-release time of GTA IV. You will have to deal with it, however, I'm sure that everything will be back to normal some time after the release of GTAV. The whole cycle will repeat itself when the next GTA game is 'around the corner'.
