Why Rockstar? I had a thought that they would hop on to the DLC bandwagon. This is a joke, 'special editions' shouldn't add anything to the game, it's unfair to others who don't want to get ripped off by paying extra for something that isn't even worth much. I just hope GTA V doesn't have any DLC, or else it will be like an EA game.

It's just a gimmick, "pay us extra and we'll give you things that only took a day to complete". Sure GTA V will be bigger than any other game, but I thought Rockstar was different, and knew fans wouldn't want to have heaps of DLC shoved at them and told "we removed this so you have to buy it again!".

No, stop complaining. It seems whatever they do, someone has to complain about something.

I'm gonna complain about their marketing. Not the game. The game should be 100% of what you pay for. Not broken into parts that you need to pay extra just to access certain things. That's f*cking retarded.

I don't see how like 3 vehicles and some extra clothes really make that big of a difference. Maybe the guns, sure, but most of these are just minor add-ons, and it doesn't really matter. Considering the amount of work put into this game, they deserve all the money they get, and i'm definitely pre-ordering the special edition. Also, games have been doing this for quite a while now, and i'm pretty sure nothing is going to change. Hell, it's probably going to get worse as time goes on.

These add-ons should be for the game. They took it out so people will buy the Special edition. The regular edition isn't 100%. You can't defend this in anyway.

I just did, by saying it doesn't matter at all. If you want to cry over a few small things, go ahead. This thread is pointless and you know it's just going to cause a flame war, but it was made anyway. You're still getting the game, and it's funny how after all the amazing stuff they've shown us and are putting into this game, you're whining about a few extra add-ons. I guess complainers will find just about anything to complain about.

And when you said "You can't defend this in any way", that sounds a bit stubborn and one sided.

RDR has a few free packs, don't assume this won't either.

Here's just my two cents. And I ain't going to check this thread a lot just to see what people say and think. This is just again my opinion.

I was really wanting to get the Collectors edition. But the price of it made me think, nah not worth it. Am I going to sit here and piss and moan about it? No. No one's forcing me to get the game period. All these are just simple choices that we all make. No one's forcing you to get the game, no one's forcing you to get either one of the special editions.

Did they cut this stuff out of the game? Who's to say. Sure they prolly did. But am I going to sit here and piss and moan about it, no. I even pre ordered the special edition today. Just cause I think I can make do with that. Will it probably go on the game in a game of the year edition, or go on the market places to buy? Probably...But again no one is FORCING us to get any of this in the first place. If you want it..great...get it.. if not to frakking bad. I'm even unemployed and spending a little extra to get the special edition.

Like many people have said, Rockstar is in a business. And whats the whole concept of a business? Oh ya, to make a profit. That's the whole point of a business. To stand out above the crowd and to make a profit. Who cares if they "took stuff out of the game" to sell it in special/collectors editions. If it bothers you that much..GET THEM.. if not..wait.. don't just sit here and bitch about this stuff. You won't change anything. This stuff is already set into motion and nothing will change that. No matter what, Rockstar is going to make a killing off just the normal version of GTA. And like someone else said, they've spent 5 years working on what could be one of the best games out there. I cant blame them for trying to make some extra cash out of it. Who cares....If they can get away with it so be it. More power to them. If the game completly sucks a$$ then i'll be a little upset about having gotten the special edition. But honestly I don't think there will be any regrets.

Again it just boils down to, if you want it sooner, go get it, if not stop bitching and taking up valuable space on the forum from some dumb b.s like this thread. Good day.

Pretty sure they did. There was some Gorilla Warfare (yes, Gorilla) pack, and I think something else that were free and I'm pretty sure were originally pre-order bonuses.

Red Dead Redemption definitely had the pre-order stuff for free some ways down the road.

Half the stuff in the special/collectors editions are already in the game. The clothing and tattoo's are already in the game as Rockstar stated, these bonuses add different style of clothing and tatts, even though i'm not optimisitc about them at all. So they actually HAVE completed the actual game.

When you pay for this game, you're GETTING THE GAME. The entire storyline, the entire map, multiplayer, and so on. That's quite a bit for 60$, especially considering they've been developing this game for around 4 years now and have put a lot of effort into it.

All they did was remove a few freaking customization options and a few guns, not the entire game. Honestly, please think before you type because you're just being a stubborn, ignorant, one-sided moron. If it were like your comparison, we'd get the disc, but then pay an extra fee to play the game. That's not what this is, and you're blowing it way out of proportion. It's not like any of this is going to really affect you AT ALL, and after all the hard work they've put in and after they finally gave into our whining and gave us extra features from the delay, you complain about a few things being taken out.

Honestly, you are extremely spoiled. Your expectations is that you want Rockstar to give you this game on a damn silver platter and maybe wipe your *ss while you're playing as well. So go ahead and complain about the stupidest things, while I show my support for Rockstar and give them an extra 20 bucks for all there hard work and get a few extra features, while you sit in a corner and cry about not having a few extra tattoos like an idiot.

I'm not going to repeat myself multiple times just because you choose to ignore all of it, so read my post again, and take the time to understand it. You're acting like you have to pay to access the other half of the map, when that isn't going on. Go ahead, buy the retail edition, you'll barely notice the difference considering these are just add-ons and don't affect ANYTHING.

Red Dead Redemption definitely had the pre-order stuff for free some ways down the road.

Gorilla Warfare wasn't a pre order bonus and graveyard map wasn't free. Still these in-game items are part of edition so I doubt they will be free as they are not pre order stuff. The classic character pack from Max Payne 3 was never free if I recall so the GTA character pack at least won't be. Still this is all assumptions. If some are free great if not I'll buy them at some point. Might even buy the R* pass if it's good enough.

No but I feel tempted to. I would like to get the special edition but £20 more for some dlc is just ridiculous. R* are f*cking their customers with those prices. I wouldn't even mind paying for the extra content but £20 is too much. Most DLCs are £5-£10 and offer much more content than GTA V special edition is offering.

Go ahead, buy the retail edition, you'll barely notice the difference considering these are just add-ons and don't affect ANYTHING.

Okay, now I see what you mean, you could've just said that damn it lol.

So taking out content is bad in your opinion. Let me break this down for you nice and slowly. Content is weighted differently. For example, say they took out half the clothes options and made it so that you have to pay. That would be annoying and I wouldn't, as you blindly assumed, suck R's d*ck for it, and i'd probably be on your side right now. Now, the things that they are "taking away" (who's to say it was even going to be in the game in the first place? Maybe it's an ADD ON?) is like, 1 weapon, a few tattoos and clothes, 3 vehicles, and some stupid flight challenges.

Would you rather have an online pass included instead of any of that? Would you rather MORE taken out? No, you wouldn't. All they're doing is removing a few things that don't make a difference, because none of it matters. Are you really going to be spending your time in game getting tattoos and clothes for 8 months? No, so what difference does it make that a few are taken away?

You see this as like, it couldn't get any worse. It's wrong and corrupt and greedy, when you fail to realize it could be MUCH WORSE. Instead they took out a few irrelevant things that don't make a difference PERIOD, and put it in the special edition for an extra 20 bucks.

Another thing you failed to acknowledge in any of your posts is how you should be grateful to R* for listening to our complaints and actually putting effort into their games. They aren't like cod or battlefield with short as hell development times. They are putting so much work and content into this game, and you won't show your support by paying an extra 20 bucks for a few extra add-ons?

If not, don't buy it, and nothing will change. It's still the exact same game, no difference. Is that clear enough for you? Because i'm sick and tired of repeating it, only for you to be like "You can't defend it, you're failing.", when it's you who's just being stubborn and not even acknowledging my side of the argument.

Go ahead, buy the regular edition, show your support for gaming (lmao) by saying you don't care how much R* has listened to your complaints about no properties and what not, and instead you're going to complain about a few things that you for some reason think will affect anything. No, he sounds like someone that isn't throwing a fit over some petty content. Seriously, this isn't even that bad. There are other developers that have Day 1 DLC and bonuses that are a lot worse than this, and actually detract from the game.

When you pay for this game, you're GETTING THE GAME. The entire storyline, the entire map, multiplayer, and so on. That's quite a bit for 60$, especially considering they've been developing this game for around 4 years now and have put a lot of effort into it.

All they did was remove a few freaking customization options and a few guns, not the entire game.
