If you knew that by canceling your pre-order and just going to the store, and purchasing the retail version of GTA V, would make Rockstar not include such stupid DLC in the future GTA games?

Who wants to pay for clothing, tattoos and guns? All that should be in the god damn game!

Remember the Special Edition of GTA IV?

It included:

A copy of GTA IV

A sports bag

The game's soundtrack

An artbook and a Rockstar keychain.

We didn't have things that are sold for real money and were not included in the game unless you payed extra!

Imagine if in GTA IV they took out the Claude outfit, the Infernus, A couple of tops and shoes for Niko... and some weapons! It'd be f*cking ridiculous!!!

I say that whatever's in the game should stay there, and if we pay the initial price we should pay for 100% of the product!

I'd pay extra for a map, a poster, a soundtrack and maybe some cool stickers or whatever, but no way it hell for things that should be there in the first place!

All I'm saying is that this might make Rockstar think and not follow the dumb way of marketing that 'other' videogame companies do. You know who they are.

I actually got f*cked over with GTA IV's Special Edition. Mine didn't even have the soundtrack in it.

If it's stupid DLC then why do you care if it's in the game?

It's inconsequential side stuff. Nothing to get worked up about.

No, stop complaining. It seems whatever they do, someone has to complain about something.

I'm gonna complain about their marketing. Not the game. The game should be 100% of what you pay for. Not broken into parts that you need to pay extra just to access certain things. That's f*cking retarded.

I don't see how like 3 vehicles and some extra clothes really make that big of a difference. Maybe the guns, sure, but most of these are just minor add-ons, and it doesn't really matter. Considering the amount of work put into this game, they deserve all the money they get, and i'm definitely pre-ordering the special edition. Also, games have been doing this for quite a while now, and i'm pretty sure nothing is going to change. Hell, it's probably going to get worse as time goes on.

If I knew that would happen, then yes, I would. But I know it wouldn't happen, so...

Am I going to cancel my pre-order because R*, above filling GTA V with content to the maximum limit, are including even more content as DLC?

These add-ons should be for the game. They took it out so people will buy the Special edition. The regular edition isn't 100%. You can't defend this in anyway.

No. I haven't made a pre order yet but when I do It'll be for the normal edition and I'll do it because I want the game on release and I'm far to lazy to go down to a store and buy it. Plus prices tend to be cheaper online and there is a chance I get the game early. A pre order bonus is just that a added bonus.

I'll buy the other content when it's on PSN if it's not unlockable. I suggest you wait for a game of the year version OP. That or buy the game in a sale and then buy the DLC after thus amounting to the price of a retail game.

What a stupid thread. You do realise that you will STILL get to fly the blimp and get tattoo's in the game and more OBVIOUSLY, the clothing is already in the game.

Maybe down the road as a DLC. But you need that DLC in order to do it. If you can still do it then that's false advertisement and they could get sued.

Not everyone is required to be as outraged as you, so stop. These are incredibly minor additions in a game as big as GTA V and doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm not "defending" it. I simply don't care.

But if you really are offended, don't just bitch and moan on forums. Vote with your wallet and don't buy the game.

So you're not mad that they took out content that should be in the game and are only getting 90% or so of GTA V. Why would I vote with my wallets. That won't make a difference. There is going to be millions that buy the game and if one doesn't they don't care.

I'm not outraged. I didn't pre-order it and not planing on it. I was asking a question. It's how you interpreted it that caused people to go ape-sh*t. Wether you agree with me is up to you, and as you already know, I'm not pushing you to do anything.

So vote whatever the f*ck you want man... I was just asking a question and shared my feelings towards Rockstar's choise of marketing, and why I think it's bogus.

This is all ADDITIONAL content. The blimp might be a skin or another blimp. Ink, cloths, garages and so on are all in the game this just gives you that little bit more. Nobody is going to be missing out on anything and if you wish for this added bonus stuff then pay for them in these editions or down the road when on the marketplace/PSN.

What exactly is taken away from you if you don't buy the Collector's Edition? I'd like to hear your exact complaints.

I'll buy the normal version, and wait for a complete edition like they did with RDR

Yeah the simple fact is if you feel content is been taken from the game and sold to you later then wait and buy a complete edition.

Posting meme's is older than most of the members doing it...

Anyway i will get the special edition, i am a sucker for special edition stuff. Hell i dropped £70 on the Black Ops 2 hardened edition and that sh*t sucked.

Although, i didn't know the game would suck until after i lost my £70. what can you do ey.

Bottom line, i like stuff that not everyone will get.

But i agree, this stuff should be in game anyway.
