I mean thinking about the fact that the new xbox isn't Backward Compatible makes me want to rip my cat in half out of frustration(I love xbox but I wont buy either of the next gen consoles, I just can't) But how did R* react to this and/or the other "surprises" microsoft just threw in our faces? They probably had a prototype of it or something or they already had the new console so they could get a feel for it and all that for the next game they make. Honestly this plan is genius, people rush to the store to buy the game for their actual console, and if they buy a new one in November they have to buy a new copy of the game for it. I mean it wouldn't be much of an experience to change the disc every once in a while, And since there's a replay option inside the phone (I assume) it wouldn't make sense to change the disc when they made it available through the phone for the quick access system Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If Sony and Microsoft were smart 8 years ago, they would have designed a backdoor kill switch into the PS3 and Xbox 360 firmware, that enables them to deactivate the consoles over the internet, when the PS4 and Xbox One become available. Don't care for the CoD series or Battlefield series. Don't care for sports games. Don't care for Forza 5. Anybody with half a brain knew Microsoft was going for the whole "all-in-one" media device gimmick, so its not so much as a surprise as a disappointment. ;/ Though we still have yet to hear the real meat of info about the new gen of consoles coming. We'll have to wait for E3 for that. I'm leaning PS4 right now even though I have a 360 now and never had PS3. (not saying I don't like sony! I loved the PS1 and PS2, but not more than the original Xbox) Also Microsoft NEEDS new exclusive IPs! Fable is pretty much DEAD and I really stopped caring about Halo after 3. GTA V will keep me well entertained until then. I'd rather pay less for a console that has been completely debugged over years, rather than get one at full price and have to experience all the initial f*ck ups. You gotta remember that 99% of devs are passionate gamers themselves, so they'll be part of the consumer base getting f*cked by the always online/used game fee. Hardware-wise, everyone knew it was gonna be almost identical to the ps4, so no big surprise there. Business-wise, it was prob not taken too well either because MS is cutting off a LOT of possible costumers (with required hdtv, always online) which means less xboxers available to buy gta vi or whatever they're gonna call it.
