I feel that these special abilities just do not really jive with the GTA franchise, something just does not sit right with warping time. Although it may be cool I fear that it may take away from the GTA "feel" of the game. More than anything it has me fearing that rockstar is trying to do too much with V, and turn it into something other than the GTA we all know and love.

 

What are your thoughts?

the abilties itself are cool but its rediculous that if you buy the special edition the regenning is 25% faster. c'mon!

Well I agree with that, I do not want to pay to make the game easier, I want the game to be just as difficult as it is with the regular edition.

Well I agree with that, I do not want to pay to make the game easier, I want the game to be just as difficult as it is with the regular edition.

This is so true. Games today are generally quite easy already. I really don't want to have this bonus.

 

btw.: you will also get weapons for free in the ammunation when you pay more...

It's great when games know what they are, and this feature doesn't really get in the way of story or anything. Besides, imagine how cool it will be to play as all three characters and switch between them when and if you need to use their ability. Say you're driving as Franklin and Michael is the passenger, Franklin slows down time to make a quick turn but one pesky cop manages to keep up, the player switches to Michael who uses his bullet-time ability to shoot the driver of the car behind them.

 

I don't really care if you don't think it jives with the franchise. People said the same thing about 3 protagonists.

I don't like the fact that the collectors edition means your abilities generate faster. I plan on getting the collectors edition and don't want this. I hope it's a case of activating each bonus item individually as I would like to keep this away from my GTA V experience.

I'm losing my interest to V day by day due to things like this. This doesn't feel like GTA anymore at all, this feels like Saints Row made by EA.

 

Sometimes I wonder that is the developer actually Rockstar?

What an overreaction. Both Max Payne and Red Dead franchises have features like this, so to claim it doesn't seem like Rockstar just makes you sound idiotic.

Just have to pre-order the normal game to get the blimp.

 

ot: Don't mind them, if they suck and make it to easy or w/e I'll just not use them

That's not what this thread is about though. Your comment made it seem like you were upset about the Special Abilities, and that alone made you not want the game.

So they aren't optional? Optional would mean you can turn them off in the menu completely.

 

It's like saying: shooting is an optional feature in GTA. Don't get a weapon and you don't have to.

My BIG concern is that these will be in multiplayer, and something like that IMO will honestly ruin the free roam online, imagine chasing someone for them to start slowing down time.

Pretty sure they aren't online.

 

Or maybe only if you get the Online Bullettime DLC.

Maybe because it just doesn't fit into GTA games?

Why are there so many fanboys in this forum not accepting any criticism?

what they said is " Michael, Franklin and Trevor each have a unique special ability. With this boost, the special ability bar will generate 25% faster "

 

as far as i understand it, it's only one special ability and we don't know what it is so far.

 

that's the best i can think of right now.

 

but i'm a little hyped about it smile.gif
