The trail of tears, slavery, the internment of Japanese Americans during WWII, the Nixon Presidency, 9/11, the Boston bombers and now Rockstar asking for more money for a special car. Sad day indeed. Are you f*cking kidding me? Are you the captain of the RDF? Look, This is the GTA V section. GTA V is made by Rockstar. The subject here is GTAV's cut content and it is a sad day for us, because of Rockstar and its its money-whoring THe other things are on a whole f*cking level. You cannot even compare them to a video-f*cking-game. But in a video-f*cking-forum, I can rightfully complain. (they are obviously complete why not add them in with the core game?) GTA:SA for example: had that been released during the days of "DLC doom" I'm sure they would have dubbed the multiplayer icons as a pre-order bonus, Early access to the tank and fighter planes, jet pack only available with collectors edition etc, etc. The fact that they have these things completed and usable and are withholding them from the core game for no other reason than exclusivity and profit is what the real issue is (regardlss of how many other feautures are in the core game itself). The only DLC i have ever purchased that seemed even remotely worth it was EFLC as they were in essence 2 new gams (although some of the features added shoul have shipped with the GTA IV game) Perhaps some Rock Band tracks as well, but the difference there is that the RB tracks were not available day one, they were things that were made AFTER the game shipped. (True extras) But like said before if people are willing to look the other way and spend the money (which the past 5 years has proved many are willing to do) the developers will continue to nickle and dime us for features that should be on the core game. All it is, is early access to like 2 vehicles, a garage and a couple weapons earlu which you'll get anyway if you work your way up on GTAV. And so what? 73duster Posted May 23, 2013 Share Posted May 23, 2013 To be honest, the only thing that annoys me is having to pre-order to fly the blimp. A small amount of extra clothes isn't too bad, there's nothing that says the weapons and vehicles cannot be gotten in the normal game, it just says that you get them for free with the special editions, and special skins for multiplayer seems like pretty standard Special/Collector's Edition fare. But the blimp is such a unique and one-of-a-kind vehicle. It would handle very differently from any other aircraft in the game. So it's not just a cosmetic thing, it's an actually completely different kind of aircraft that any of the others in the game. Because of that, it adds to vehicle variety in a way that, say, a certain kind of super-car doesn't. That special super-car reserved for pre-order (hypothetical) might be cool or unique-looking, but it's still just a car. The blimp is a special variety of vehicle, and not having it because you didn't pre-order has a significant impact on experiences possible within the game that a special car wouldn't. That's probably why they chose it, but that's kind of messed up. I agree. The Blimp is actually a pretty big deal to me, and not having access to it would suck big time. I'm not shocked really, because this is what ALL game developers are doing now to squeeze a little extra from consumers. I'd rather have them raise the price of these games from $60 to $65 or $70. I'd rather know what I'm buying up front, without worrying about what is being kept from me. These developers spend a ton of money on these games, and it would simply be a more honest approach to business if they were up front from the very beginning. They make great games, it's why we're all here. So if you don't want to spend on the extra stuff, I don't blame you but that's a personal budget decision. They aren't even getting extra money from you if you pre-order. They are getting the same amount of money. $60 is not any more than it would be if you waited until September 17th to buy it on launch. Also, they are saying you get the ATOMIC BLIMP. No where does that say "THE Blimp". That makes me think this is just a special blimp you can get by pre-ordering. OP stated that 10% of the game is cut from the game, because of additional DLC added POST development(most likely) I LAUGH AT YOU, YOU DUMB f*ck I guess the OP also thinks it's unfair that when you purchase a car at a dealership that's it BS to pay extra for sun roof, V8, Navigation system etc...because you know, all cars should come with this at the same lower price... Yeah, vehicles and stuntplane challenges are sooo very similar to "sun roof, V8, and Navigation system ". Dude, this is clear ripoff. I am not saying that things like bags and caps should have been in the vanilla game. Get that into your titanium thick skulls. 1, possibly 2 extra stunplane challenges, An extra weapon and vehicle plus a handful of clothing, Is a Rip-Off? Really? Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean he can't complain. I think the Collectors Edition of V is a ripoff because it doesn't include anything impressive when you look at the prize you pay for it. I won't buy it because of that reason alone. But OP kinda wants too because it's annoying he's missing out on some little things. It's not that difficult to comprehend.
