krammkracker
10 years ago the idea that cars/missions/etc were being withheld from a game and sold at a higher rate and dubbed as "extras" would have been a laughable thought. (they are obviously complete why not add them in with the core game?) GTA:SA for example: had that been released during the days of "DLC doom" I'm sure they would have dubbed the multiplayer icons as a pre-order bonus, Early access to the tank and fighter planes, jet pack only available with collectors edition etc, etc. The fact that they have these things completed and usable and are withholding them from the core game for no other reason than exclusivity and profit is what the real issue is (regardlss of how many other feautures are in the core game itself). The only DLC i have ever purchased that seemed even remotely worth it was EFLC as they were in essence 2 new gams (although some of the features added shoul have shipped with the GTA IV game) Perhaps some Rock Band tracks as well, but the difference there is that the RB tracks were not available day one, they were things that were made AFTER the game shipped. (True extras) But like said before if people are willing to look the other way and spend the money (which the past 5 years has proved many are willing to do) the developers will continue to nickle and dime us for features that should be on the core game. Wheatley
Rockstar did this with Red Dead Redemption: you pre-ordered the game and got Golden Guns, War Horse and The Deadly Assassin outfit. That was in 2010 and no one gave a flying rats ass about that. They also did this with Max Payne 3 by offering several different packs from several different retailers. Don't forget LA Noire, pre-order the game and get the Naked City (or something) case to play, or the Electroplating case. See? They've done it a plenty before and no one cared and to be honest majority still don't because Rockstar will offer these downloadable content after the release of the game. Stop whining, be happy we are actually getting anything. -Wheatley

wwinterj
Max Payne 3 would like a word with you. Red Dead Redemption, too. At least with Red Dead redemption you could earn the DLC stuff later on in the game, it was just for people wanting to get it right away. Who says you can't do that with GTA V? Waingro
The game is already complete. You personally feel it is incomplete. That's why it's called Bonus content. Having to pay 60 dollars to find out how GTA V ends would be an incomplete game. Having to pay 60 dollars to run around as Claude from III is your choice. Nothing smart about it. Pretty much common sense.
Knife
The content is so tiny in the grand scheme of things I really don't think it matters. The stunt challenges will likely just be flying through blips and missing out on a few clothing textures and a couple of vehicles really isn't a big deal. Once you have the game, you're not going to spend your time thinking "oh god I really wanted the shirt with the flames on". It's not "like EA". It's like all games in 2013. This is just the done thing now. I don't think it's brilliant but I don't think it really matters.

Jakee.
I got to page 2 and I am frankly shocked that you guys accept this. Now, I am a huge Rockstar Fanboy, but this just sparked a sense of anger inside me. They aren't cutting much out of the game, granted, but they have still cut parts of the game, and you may say "ohh its additional" but why should you pay extra for content that has been developed WHEN THE GAME IS IN DEVELOPMENT? You are paying £45 / $60 for the core game, you expect to receive everything they have been working on up to the point of release. I am going to get the standard edition because honestly, I don't want to have cars as soon as I open the game and I definitely don't want a boost to an element of the game that I know I already hate, but I am honestly just hoping that these are shortcuts to the content, and still are available to everyone else. GTAfan786
Stupid thread full of hypocritical and over emotional little kids. These aren't limited the game in ANYWAY, you still get to play the normal game which is COMPLETE. These are strictly additions to the game. Retards. Don't rant about how it makes the game incomplete. They did this with MP3 AND RDR.

Cyfa
I agree and disagree. 1) We do not know if Rockstar is going to do this with regular DLC. 2) They've been doing this for awhile now. 3) It's not that big of a deal. 4) Rockstar is a company, and the point of a company is to make money. 5) It's not that big of a deal. omeromer
People who say he shouldn't complain because "OMG THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH NO HANDS WHO COMPLAIN LESS THEN YOU THIS IS JUST A GAME" are ridiculous. If someone complains about something that looks unimportant in comparison to something else, it doesn't make the complaining invalid, or "useless". This is a GTA V forum, you will find people talking about GTA V, praising GTA V, complaining about GTA V and discussing its features in very great depth. To the outside observer, people with no interest in GTA V, people with big problems, for example people dying of hunger in Africa, this may seem ridiculous. But to people who enjoy GTA V and have a great interest in it as a hobby, it isn't. This forum is for those people. Again, this is a GTA V forum, you don't get to compare real world serious problems in order to say an argument or something is unimportant. If you have a problem with the unimportance of this game in comparison to other things, what the f*ck are you doing in this forum? Why not everyone just stop doing everything and stop taking interest in anything until all the "Big" problems are solved? Buy the standard edition and just enjoy the game. Let the people who buy the Special and Collector's Edition enjoy their superior game for the time being. Then, when all the content is available on PSN/XBL you'll be able to get it a hell of a lot cheaper than $150. If you don't buy the CE, you'll have the last laugh. Miss Darko
To be honest, the only thing that annoys me is having to pre-order to fly the blimp. A small amount of extra clothes isn't too bad, there's nothing that says the weapons and vehicles cannot be gotten in the normal game, it just says that you get them for free with the special editions, and special skins for multiplayer seems like pretty standard Special/Collector's Edition fare. But the blimp is such a unique and one-of-a-kind vehicle. It would handle very differently from any other aircraft in the game. So it's not just a cosmetic thing, it's an actually completely different kind of aircraft that any of the others in the game. Because of that, it adds to vehicle variety in a way that, say, a certain kind of super-car doesn't. That special super-car reserved for pre-order (hypothetical) might be cool or unique-looking, but it's still just a car. The blimp is a special variety of vehicle, and not having it because you didn't pre-order has a significant impact on experiences possible within the game that a special car wouldn't. That's probably why they chose it, but that's kind of messed up.

MessedUpPro
See, the issue all you are having is that you are looking at it as if they cut stuff from the game. I promise right now that there are plenty of cars, weapons, and airplane challenges in the game already. Plenty to keep you happy. This is just stuff added to the game for those who buy the special editions. None of this stuff was cut. And actually, no weapons were added. The weapons are just given for free at the start of the game, rather than you buying/finding them. The only thing you don't get is a few challenges and like three cars. Big whoop. This isn't going to be an "incomplete" game. This game is going to be packed with content, regardless of the edition you buy. In other words, stop bitching, they aren't taking anything from your game.
Waingro
Am? Am I? No you know what. This is worse than all of those things. This is worse than climate change. There's people out there who shell out more money for things, even though you can get the regular version for less. This is a tragedy. This is actually worse than 9/11 and the restriction of Habeas Corpus.

It's just add ons not like it was going to be in the game anyways, so they made it bonus content, not a big deal at all. I'm posting this in a videogame forum. I am not a Zee, okay? I shouldn't have placed Rockstar in place in a pedestal. It came crashing down. I never though of a day when I'd say "f*ck Rockstar". But I have today. You guys will follow suit.
