If Rockstar release a Season Pass for GTA V

Given Rockstar's passed history (with L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3) of releasing season passes to get all of the DLC for free (actually only really at discounted price) and the fact that the Special and Collectors edition have been announced with bonuses that will probably be downloadable in the future it's likely that they will also release one for GTA V after release. After the debacle with the Max Payne season pass will you be buying it??

 

I personally won't unless they make me an offer I can't refuse. But I want to see how many of you will.

Thats not technically true.. you usually save an extra couple of bucks by getting it close to release.

I dont get what they would include in DLC though. In order for them to warrant selling a seasons pass they would have to make atleast like 4 singleplayer DLC expansions. At that point it just seems like they're just pushing something out there for the sake of profiting money.

 

People have to be wary of season passes. A lot of these company's just throw out garbage so they can say "see, we did the DLC we promised for you!" I know Rockstar isn't that type of studio, but they are a business.

If they do any sort of single-player DLC then absolutely. Will buy it without question.

 

If it's multiplayer content, then I don't know. Maybe. I did enjoy GTA IV's multiplayer, but that was mostly in online free roam with friends. Don't really need any DLC to enjoy that.

Maybe. Depends on the content. I didn't buy the Max Payne 3 one as it was just online DLC that didn't interest me. I did however buy the Red Dead Redemption and L.A Noire one. A thing to note though is that pre order incentives and I assume these edition contents are not part of the pass system.

I'm assuming that the Season Pass will include all the game content (special outfits, fly the blimp, etc) as the special / collectors editions. I'll very likely get the Season Pass if it lets me fly the blimp.

I know with most pass systems the pre order stuff isn't included. Still I imagine you can fly the blimp in the game anyway. This pre order incentive could be a skin or another blimp. I hope the pass includes everything though. That would be great.

Depends whats on it, really. I mean if you already fork out for the collectors edition to get the perks like GTA character skins for MP or vehicles/weapons, but these are announced as part of DLC packs that will be included in the pass then I obviously wouldn't bother. It seems like a good deal though if they do have it, and at least then you know that you're acquiring everything they will be releasing. I hope more content questions like this are answered soon, as I haven't even pre-ordered yet and there are already so many things to consider.

different things, dude. Online Pass is a thing that allows you to play online and comes with every *new* game. Season Pass is a "buy 3, take 1 free" kinda of deal, where you pay for every DLC before they come but at a lower price

Of coarse I f*cking will, why the hell wouldn't I? The real question should be, "Will you rent or buy used?" Since season passes or whatever do not effect people who buy the game new, only those retards who buy used or rent the game.

 

Edit: I assumed you meant what EA use to do, in needing a pass to play online. So to rephrase, it's still "Why the f*ck wouldn't I?" If they want to give me a discount, that's fine with me, easy way to save $$$.

If they announce DLC like the episodes (its not 100% ruled out just yet, just the way the DLC intertwines with the story has been ruled out) then i would get it... but i don't care too much for crappy extra like tattoos and guns that in the grand scale of things amount to nothing, be it for cheap or for "free" with a season pass...
