the results of this poll show why they take deposits for CE lol... i bet under half of those that say they will get CE now, in the midst of the hype, will end up not getting CE lol...

 

Imagine the poor game shop who ordered in 225(CE buys in the poll so far) CE's with a retail value of roughly 27k to meet their pre-orders, only to find 200 of those were idiots with eyes bigger then their bellys who ended up going with their original pre order of the normal game else where...

No, you just won't get early access to it like others. It's inevitable that it will be free some ways down the road. How are some of you not getting this? This is exactly what was done with Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3.

Collectors edition offers early access to Niko Bellic in multiplayer, so, collectors edition.

looks like Cj and other various 3D era guy will be in MP too... what's your thoughts on that? I bet you had a heart attack lol.

Standard - You get the game and nothing else.

 

Special Edition - Game, Artbook, a different style of Map and some extra guns, clothes, tattoos and vehicles for SP.

 

Collectors Edition - Same stuff as Special Edition, plus extra MP characters, a cap, a bag, and a box.

That's what I'll stay with. I just want the game though all the other bonuses would have been nice, especially the artworks.

I cannot believe the price of the collector's edition. I really want the extra vehicles/garage/weapons, but there isn't even a soundtrack included in there.

 

The reason I bought all the extra crap with IV was pretty much just for the soundtrack, which I felt pretty much justified the extra money. But here that isn't even the case. We're already paying an extra x amount of Aussie dollars as it is in this country (we get totally ripped off, amiright?) and I don't think I can justify the extra money just for some chinese merchandise and some items that really should be included in the base game anyway.

 

I'll be happy smashing my blimp into things Hindenburg style, thank you very much.

I wanna get the collectors edition but 150 is way to much money to be dropping down for a game and some other extra gimmicky trinkets and toys that will most likely collect dust so ima have to go with the standard version

If you think about it that way:

You pay 70 €/$ more for the Collectors Edition and the only thing you will get in addition is the Cap ( which even is a snapback which I dont even like) and the bag with key. Both you will never need actually.

The 2 exclusive cars and characters will be available on XBL or PSN for like 4 Euro which is irrelevant.

 

So 70 bucks for a cap and a bag isnt worth it at all.

Never was a fan of trinkets. And the Special comes with the same digital content (what really matters) that the Collector's has at a fraction of the cost (extra $20 on retail price to game).

It's amazing how many people are being ripped off by Rockstar this way. I bought the standard version for a beautiful 38,45 euros with an epic discount. And after a few months I'll be able to download every ingame thing the 130 euro version is getting, and have my own full version for like a third the price max. LOL
