In regard to the 3 PS3s, he probably had some ulterior motive for that. Doing Let's Plays with friends perhaps, or just getting a bunch of Views (and hopefully thus a Sponsor/Ad Revenue) from doing some whacky sh*t with them.

 

Even so though...if you have the money that it doesn't hurt you...I guess you could buy three of them to serve as either backups or to have one in your bedroom, one in the living room, and perhaps one in another house...

I can understand one as a backup but buying more than 2 is crazy. It's even crazy if you buy Xbox Live but only play PSN.
