OPINIONS ON THE COLLECTORS EDITION PACK

I personally think the collectors edition is a bit over priced, for what you get. But the special edition is the perfect price for what you get. If the collectors edition was maybe $100 bucks, then yea I would buy it, but 70 dollars (150-80 (special edition)) for a hat and bag? That is too over priced.

this is exactly my mindset. i dont care about the hat and bag, or the shiney box it comes in. i just want the in-game content, but that just aint worth $70...

I really don't get why everyone is so upset that the collectors edition cost so much when all you have to do is reserve it for the minimum price and add like $10 bucks a week until the game arrives in September and you'll feel like you never spent an extra cent... IMO

I think the issue here is not that it's $150, but what you actually get for the extra $70 on top of the SP. Needless to say, as overpriced as i think it is i ended up preordering the CE anyways. I can always change it to the SP, or try and sell the Hat and MP skin pack.

I will be buying the standard edition. I don't care much for the extras and I don't want to improve the abilities faster than normal.

I think everyone should realize that the digital stuff like the garage, cars and weapons make no claim that they are exclusive, just that you get them instantly. The costumes and classics characters may be exclusive but just reconsider if you're mainly wanting the digital stuff, most of it will probably still be in the game it'll just give it all to you at the beginning.

For all those complaining, it could be worse,

 

Basically a game that is 5 years in development costs a lot of money to make, it's better to have a pricing structure so those who care about small extra stuff can pay more.

 

It's either that or they level it out and the game costs £70 for everyone.

Bought the collectors edition today from GAME for £120, expensive but i'll get 480hours + out of the game so 25p an hour a good deal.

Got mine in New Zealand from mightyape.co.nz. Can't believe I'd f*cking get my hands on one, seeing as they've already sold out in Australia. Anyone in Australia who missed out on their Collector's edition, this website will ship to Aussie. This is possibly the best NZ$200 I've ever spent in my life!!!

I believe that the people who get to pilot the blimp will earn money from taking tourists around los santos in it and even the rest of the map so i still believe the people who did not pre order will get to be a tourist but at a price what do you guys think

I upgraded my pre order to the $80 special edition. $20 extra for the stuff included in that package is worth it for me. I might go for the CE at some point but im still on the fence about it.

This is the main thing that ran through my mind before i placed my preorder. It states you get the garage from the start with a car and bike in it, which implies you get a garage at some point otherwise, but doesn't make it clear weather those are exclusive cars and bike.

Lol about some people. Getting robbed for buying the CE, seriously? No one is forcing you to buy anything. Instead you can skip buying the game at all and cry at home, Rockstar won´t give a f*ck about your broke ass. Instead they can focus on us who are true fans of Rockstar and wants to show our appreciation for all the hard work they have undoubtedly done for the past five years by buying this very nice collectors edition.

Being a "true" fan isn't defined by how much you pay them.

 

If I remember right, The Grand Theft Auto IV Collectors Edition was essentially the same as this, except it was a safebox, which I'd prefer, instead of a bag. I'll see how much it costs in my currency, otherwise I'll probably just buy the Special Edition.

It was also 20 dollars cheaper and had a soundtrack I'm pretty certain.

 

On another note; Support for the two new editions has dropped by a few percent, people who don't like the idea of it at all have stayed steady at 35% and people who just don't care has risen again to 20%
