Does it take a genius to realize that:

 

- The map is zoomed out and may only be able to see main roads

- So far we can see only the city, barely nothing but the beginning of the countryside.

 

So how are people saying the map is small if NOBODY has yet seen the WHOLE map besides a cut part of Los Santos?

Those are all the roads, dude. You can the cul-de-sacs next to the park seen in a recent screenshot. GTA cities aren't supposed to be big, they look big enough at ground level.

You get a big map like Just Cause 2, people complain it's too empty.

You get a medium sized map, people complain it's too small.

You get a realistic game like Mafia 2, people complain about too much realism.

You get a goofy game like Saints Row 3/4, people complain about not enough realism.

You get a PS4 event with only 10% of it being about the thing, people complain.

You get an Xbox One event with 200% being about the thing itself, people complained about not enough shown games.

 

I guess the only thing that can please everyone on this internet is cats.

Wasn't I clearly? I am hyped of this game since the first trailer and I still am! I know the map will be big but if you were the right guy you should agree with me that the City is small If you don't get the f*ck off Go play GTA III then if you like a tiny city.

edit: well, it looks like I got the wrong quotes. Anyways it was about the opinions and expectations of the size. Not everyone expected a big city like you and therefore it's not everybody who is going to be disappointed.

I compared them both and overlaid the images and have similar outlines but its safe to say they're are not identical as the lower half of the map doesn't follow the same outline.

I scaled it so the SA dual carriageways are the same thickness as the V thick roads.

 

However, I imagine SA's LS should in fact be scaled even smaller because as I recall, in screenshots V has highways with 5+ lanes on each side whereas SA only had 2 on each side.

When you look at the rolled map, you can clearly see that the roll is 4-5 layers thick, and this city part is just a small patch of the whole map, so imagine how big the whole game is... I honestly believe there are at least several towns if not full cities on the map.

What matters is it shows a slice of the entire width of the map, and separately they gave the width and height of the map in inches.

I don't know maybe I should just avoid the V section because every time somebody has a bit a critcism, they're seen as whiners. I feel like I'm surrounded by eleven year olds who don't respect opinions that are in contrast to theirs.

Some of us wanted a proper Los Angeles knockoff. Not a little half asses 'taste' of it. I'm the guy who wanted a Liberty City sized Los Santos with a better design. This city looks like Algonquin and Dukes & Broker combined. Regarding to structure of the city, it looks kind of silly and unsophisticated.

Yeh it should definitely be scaled even smaller the pier is about the same size on the map here, and the difference in-game is absolutely massive.
