Whenever video game prices are converted from dollars to pounds, us British get the raw end of the deal and end up paying more. But I'd love it if it was just £100. On the other hand, I don't know if this excites me enough. You're basically paying $150 for a cap and a bag and there isn't even an artbook which bums me out. The price will fall as we get near to the release. No worries, Today $150 tomorrow $100 for Collectors edition. I like the cap though Los Santos would look really cool. reform Posted May 23, 2013 Share Posted May 23, 2013 I'm going to buy it, but I won't be proud of doing so. It will be a compromise of my morals, basically making me a total hypocrite. But I don't want to be playing the game a month or so after getting it, and think "damn, I could have had a bunch of other stuff to play with, too..." It certainly sucks. If GTA was anual or bi-anual, I wouldn't touch the special or collectors edditions (or even the pre-order). But it's going to be probably another 7 or so years until GTAVI, so I want to get as much as I can. It's just been leaked that GTAV will be on N64. haha.. I said every plausible leak of info. Why would anyone go for a special edition... Collectors Edition is the real deal tbh. SE is just... cheap with cheats and all. Its like paying extra for an easier start to the game. Actually I'm not intending to use them anyways but why do they have to make the game easier for people buying the Collectors edition? Gonna buy it anyways although I have a bad feeling that there will be tons of DLC for this game which I HATE. Therefore I'd like to buy the cheapest edition of the game for the PS3, and spend money to get the "complete" version (A.K.A. collector's edition) on the pc. Now my concern is: from your previous experiences, is it likely that a complete version (with all the bonuses of the Collector's Edition) will be released on the pc, or is it not? Yeah, I know pc version hasn't be announce yet, but let's just suppose it will eventually be released. Thank you! Well, you get the blimp regardless of what edition it is, standard, special and collectors edition. This is prob to deter buying it used. You are right about the Stunt plane and custom vehicles though, not in the standard edition. Like some others on here, there is a progressive and lingering bad taste, I can agree with the online bonuses being exclusive to special and collectors editions to an extent, however it seems to go a bit overboard though with the price jump from $79 to $149. I absolutely hate that they are including single player day 1 DLC, I never expected R* to do this. In my opinion, they should at the very least have all the digital content with the special edition instead of splitting it up like they did. You are just paying for the Bag, the 'premium outer box' and the Hat with the $150 dollar collectors edition. These features aren't worth selling for $5 dollars DLCs, so we included them as pre-order bonus." GTA V is already a big game and it seems unfair if we'll pay just $60 for it, right? Rockstar has removed features from the game and will sell it later for ~$15. A part of it were put into these pre-order editions. In other words, If Rockstar sells the game for $75, very few would buy it. So they set the price to $60, the standard. The $15 wasn't just a price slash overall, they removed some OPTIONAL features for us to buy later on. I don't even think GTA V merely costs $60 with the effort put into it. According to my calculations Collectors ($150) is £100 in UK Special ($80) £53 Standard ($60) £40 You don't just convert $ to £, you have to take in to account VAT as well. Tax isn't included in the American prices. It will probably be the same in £ as $, so were looking at £79.99 for the special edition.
