It hasnt even been released yet and it sounds like it might actually be a good system from what ive saw in the announcement yesterday: - improved graphics - improved controller for percision - it responds to your every command and movements with the improved kinect sensor -You can open multiple windows for interaction all at one time - BLU-RAY drive (finally) - New HALO series created by the legend Steven Spielberg - 15 exclusives launching with the system Now the design of the xbox is weird, and I dont know why its called xbox one, but other than that I dont see anything wrong with it. We pay full price for a disc we can only use on one console, say goodbye to taking your favourite games round a friends house. Improved graphics? well yeah, it is a new console. Kinect always has to be on. Why? so some nerds at Microsoft can have a wank over sleeping children. Always has to be connected to the internet, so anyone without a connection is f*cked. The rest of the time was spent on Halo on how it will revolutionize tv. I have one tv app I use, it's called Netflix and it's already perfect. Halo I also don't like. When you reveal a new gaming console, and spend three quarters of the reveal talking about how it can help you watch TV, it's no longer a gaming console, it's a fancified DVR from a cable/satellite provider. >.> Might as well be a $500 Roku from what I gathered. Sony and MS just went down different routes for the reveal. After E3 we will have a much better idea of the games coming out at launch and more of the consoles features. Mista J Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 I actually love it,most of the things don't bother me, except the once a day mandatory online check in, as for used games I don't buy used games, unless its over a year old game, but now that I'm working I can afford to buy all my games new. As for the fee for when you let a a friend borrow it, I don't care as I'm not in middle school so me and my friends don't borrow each others game anymore, but I'm confident that with all the backlash Microsoft will end up changing a few things. Never have, never will and now Microsoft force it on XboxOne users? Sure you can turn it off when playing games but the console needs it to even work. Not only that but the inclusion of this crappy device with every console will be reflected in one of the most important bits of information and that's the price. Just look at the WII U to see what I mean. Now I don't hate XboxOne and will buy one after I buy a PS4 just as I have this gen with PS3 and 360 but that will be when more games are on the system and the price is right to make the jump from this gen. The same can be said for any next gen console. E3 will be very important this year for both Microsoft and Sony. If they fail to impress not many will want to make the jump. epicluca Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 - Was gonna happen anyway, not an amazing feature - you either push buttons or you dont. no precision involved - Not every game wil lhave kinect capabilities - Would get annoying when your game is half the size it should be, pointless feature - 7 years too late - Spielberg isn't creating sh*t, he's making a HALO TV series - Half of which are EA Sports games and COD or weren't even shown at the conference So yes, there is no love for xbox one. Considering it was a CONSOLE reveal, I think it went well. At least they didn't lie and say " Come and see the nue Xbax along with all teh gamez 4 it." Sony showed a lot of games and not the hardware. Microsoft showed the Hardware but not many games. At a console revel hardware is the thing you should be seeing. Sony showed a lot of games and not the hardware. Microsoft showed the Hardware but not many games. At a console revel hardware is the thing you should be seeing. Here is a funny but true video to lighten this topic up. The ONLY reason Sony didn't show the console because they had to put finishing touches to the console and maybe still working on it and also it's called anticipation. It was February ffs, it made sense if they didn't show the console then. We are at the end of May, so obviously Microsoft were ready to show the console. People don't get is that the reason of the used game fee is that, I'm guessing once you install the game, you won't need the disc to play it, imagine the amount of money lost if people kept passing around their games, it would be chaos lol. The PlayStation does not need to pay for exclusives. They are good enough to make there own sh*t. And im not a fan boy, i have a ps3 and xbox, but the ps is far much better. Seenyour31 Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 As with all new console releases, I'll take a wait and see attitude, see what games they have to offer, I also wait usually 8 months to a year after a new system releases before I buy it, as there usually has been a price drop, some of the early bugs are worked out, and there is a greater selection of games available.
