I know that some one them have an adrenaline-esque result, but there can't be drugs that solely have positive effects on your awareness, right? If you make them have cool effects that serve the gameplay (temporary invincibility, super speed/strength, etc.) then you're glorifying drug abuse. Rockstar has grown up and is too smart to go there. On the other side of things, if you make them hinder the player even for a small amount of time like getting drunk, then its a pointless distraction that's ultimately unnecessary. I wouldn't mind a fleshed out version of Chinatown's drug trafficking system though. I thought that micro-management was cool but I never played it. Did it get a PS2 port or am I mistaken? Yeah I know there will be bullet time and stuff like that, but it would be cool if i could like take drugs and the more drugs I take, the more it last. Also it would be cool if they added a drugs, like steroids that can make you stronger for while. So what do you think about my idea? epicluca Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 I don't know, maybe only for mission purposes but even then it was confusing as f*ck to control the character in Far Cry 3 when he was high, but R* would probably make it easier. I'm guessing it wwould just have the same alcohol style swaying effect in cars, maybe distorted sounds. One thing I definetely want back is adrenaline pills. That might be cool when wankerish brawlers from SWAT ( or how ever it is called ) appear. Or maybe when a bear offend trevor. It's the little things that make the game so fun. Tattoos, haircuts, tennis and yoga aren't controversy for controversy's sake. Taking drugs would add nothing to the gameplay but a visual effect for a few seconds. Besides, if the characters can even interact with drugs in anyway, a real criminal mastermind with his eye making money isn't going to use the sh*t. It's one thing to express as part of his character that Trevor has drug problem by showing snorting coke or passed in with needles sticking out of him or anything else they imagine. You want to establish Trevor's habits? Sure. I'm all for that. Having the player interact with it whether a full blown mini-game or just a button simple button press is just silly. I will make a point though, that I didn't mind it in Max Payne because he simply popped pills to top off his adrenaline. They never said what type of pills and they never glorified the sensation of it. So if Trevor simply pops some junk and refills the rage? Great! Cheesy psychedelic effects can go away. I just believe it needs to serve the gameplay without glorifying it. That's all. Again, trafficking would be cool because that's money. Hell, even getting access to rage pills for adrenaline because your business is booming would be cool. I'm just tried of games adding cheesy effects for the hell of it. P ( for fun ) which will be EXTREMELLY EXPENSIVE but also a WORTH TAKEN RISK so you may get rich by playing at casino during this drug effect who michael ( probably ) have used. I am talking about using drugs to get special ''abilities'', for instance, you could go to a drug store, buy some drugs, keep them in your pocket, then use them whenever you need to.
