(Hypothetical Q):Would U Buy GTA5 If No MultiP?

I would buy the game even without MP as I couldn't care less about it. Grand Theft Auto started as SP game and it was sold as this till IV. Sure the MP got its moments, but it's not a factor when I'm buying next part.

Of course I'd still buy it, I would be very disappointed however, because I always enjoy screwing around with friends in the world of GTA.

Of course I would, and I wouldn't be disappointed at all. I buy GTA for the single-player mode anyway, and didn't play much of the multiplayer in GTA4. I may play it more in GTA5, if it looks fun enough, but it would be more of a bonus to an already great game than a game-selling feature by itself.

We all know multiplayer will be in GTA 5 and GTA's to come, but someone on here said "people who play online should just leave," and suggested that in 2013, GTA V would thrive wihtout multiplayer especially if its omission meant more space for a better single player game.

 

I just want to gauge everyone's thoughts on GTA multiplayer and its role in your purchase of the game.

GTA games of old did just fine without multiplayer.

GTA has free roam after the story has been completed, people would still buy GTA games if there was no multiplayer. The only games that have been tacking on multiplayer recently have been linear games. And who wants to buy a linear game on release with no replay value?

Ofcourse I would. I hadn't played multiplayer on GTA IV, even after owning it for 6 months. Storyline is what interests me.

I would buy it of course but boy it would be a big blow, mp is great for those who like playing games with other living beings. Love having a game of cops n crooks or gta race and whatnot when I start getting a little tired of sp.
