To be honest, I think it will be my favourite GTA, My current favourite is IV, ill be thinking of the difference between the two while i'm playing V and ill kind of miss IV in a way. I remember when it was confirmed to be San Andreas, I went crazy with excitement. As for Rockstar games...Redemption is my favourite. V has to beat that to become my favourite Rockstar title. NGC BemaR Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 Hopefully it will top GTA: SA (PC + SA-MP) I thought GTA: SA single player was good on the PS2 but it was GTA SA: SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer) for PC that for me even when IV came out (multiplayer wise) could not match up to San Andreas. GTA V will have the most insane single player experience to date! But for me to be a favourite you have to have the complete multiplayer experience. GTA IV's multiplayer model although at the time of release was exciting and fresh within a few months became dull and boring...GTA V's Multiplayer has to have the same effect GTA SA: SA-MP had on players to have a thriving multiplayer experience. VC had that... special something. An ambience, a feel, a style. V won't be able to touch it. It might be better in every single way, but no game will EVER touch that feeling I had with VC. SA, as i've noticed with my most recent playthrough, is in many ways a terrible game. It had so much in it but at the cost of others. Rain for example, SA has the worst "rain" in any game I've played. Noise filter. Nuff said. The audio is terrible too. Map design etc is alright, story is.... confused. The game world feels dead so often, unlike IV. It lacked too much to beat VC. VC is much smaller but so much better imo. I have never driven a Marquis in SA. Why? Because it's horrible. The sea is like III. Dark, dirty. There is no "paradise" in SA. VC however, i could waste an hour just floating around the map slowly, on the blue sea. IV i think is the best gta yet, but VC had that.... i dunno, that thing. Niko was a great character, but many discount Johnny. Niko simply had a more disclosed back story. Johnny wasn't quite as developed maybe, but I think he was as good as Niko. Michael I think will take it. Franklin seems to be a modernized CJ, and trevor the typical "gta/saints row psycho". I think Michael will have some darkness in his past, and I think that will match Niko. Come to think of it i think John Marston is up there with Niko, maybe as a close second. PS: Vice City had this beautiful sunkissed feel to it. Nor did IV. Maybe V will come close but i think the 80s feeling just tops it. I remember release day, i was 14 and i used to work with my dad on his business in the mornings, he run a chain of stalls in shopping centers. So when i finished helping him set up i begged him to get me the game. And there was only 4 shops in the center that sold games, there was ques forming at all of them, and herds of people running backwards and forwards to see if any shop opened earlier. When the closest one did, rather than que my dad said to the girl who worked there "Save me a copy" the advantages of knowing the staff Anyway i got home and played it, and it was amazing. Underwater, deserts, beaches, forests, mountains, modding cars. To me at the time it was a dream game. I remember all my mates ringing me up asking if i have it and what part I'm up to in the story, everyone was talking about it. When i went back to help my dad pack away later that afternoon, people were still racing about trying to find copies but everywhere had sold out. And San Andreas was a game i played religiously for about 5 years. Its hard for any game to beat them memories for me.
