Remember when they announced GTA V the same day when Battlefield 3 came out? Remember when they revealed screenshots the same day when Battlefield 4 was revealed? And remember when they also revealed screenshots on Christmas Day? How awesome would that be if this actually happened! GTA is a SINGLE PLAYER game. Let them focus on their main selling point. The Multiplayer is just a add on. Yeah, ok The only GTA game to have MP is IV. ( TLAD/TBOGT are add ons ). So I am right. GTA is a Single Player game. If you want to play nothing but Multiplayer games then I got a list for you: Number 1 Number 2 Have fun with these Multiplayer games while the real GTA fans play GTA. "Real" fans will enjoy Single player and multi, no need to be a dick about it. "Real Fans" will try Single Player first then do Multiplayer. So yes they will enjoy both. Who are YOU to judge? Just because YOU don't like multiplayer and YOU THINK multiplayer is a waste of disc space DOESN'T make it a FACT. it is YOUR OPINION. And a kinda sh*tty one As direct and somewhat rude as he is, He's also right, In another couple years when everyone has moved onto the next GTA, Majority of people will just stop playing V's multiplayer, If we didn't have multiplayer we could have a better singleplayer experience. BUT, What everyone seems to forget, Is that Multiplayer in GTA takes up VIRTUALLY ZERO DISC SPACE!! So, Even if we didn't have Multiplayer, I can Guarentee our singleplayer experience would HARDLY change. Like at most, We'd get like 1 extra Ped model. I never said the game was made for me but what Rockstar is trying to do is get all the little kids from MP to play GTA. If they made GTA just for MP then we would get one every 2 or 3 years. These 5 years were mostly for Single Player. Rockstar cares more for Single Player then Multiplayer. Seeing that you only buying GTA V more for its MP is a joke to be honest. Its main attraction is its Single Player and you're only hurting yourself. Fortunately Rockstar doesn't care what your personal opinion is. You can have your opinion and carry it like a stick up your ass if thats what makes you happy. As for me and my friends, we will thoroughly enjoy the multiplayer and every now and then I will smile knowing that somewhere you are fuming because you believe that something is "missing" from SP because of that pesky MP. Happy gaming. PS - Multiplayer isn't just for "kids". Im alot older and more experienced than you. How much older? Lets just say that my first console was a Calicovision - when it was new. That's why there is multiplayer today. I assure you if V was R*'s first game (same quality as now) MP would have been included, just get over it pal. But the link in the latest post weakens the entire effort for me. Ideally you want to disassociate from COD yourself, and linking to trolls who specialise in that field, almost reveals that you have been studying other's work. Still though, you're pretty good, and have touched on most of the key concepts. I don't study his work. He's on every gaming video. I went on RDR trailer (IGN) just to visit old times and see him saying how COD is the better game and that RDR is a fail to Rockstar. GTA IV isn't even the first GTA to have a multiplayer (without mods that is). The original GTA game supposedly has a multiplayer (probably PC only), and the "Stories" titles also have multiplayer for the PSP. It just didn't get mainstreamed until GTA IV, but R* (or DMA Design before it became R* North) has been fussing with such ideas since the beginning. The only thing I am irritated about is you pretty much calling everybody who "PLAYS" GTA V's Multiplayer not a True Fan, either as soon as they get the game or soon after. Sure, it's a Single Player Based Game and it'll be amazing but why am I not a "REAL" GTA FAN (Yes you ignored my message again) For playing Multiplayer as soon as I get it? Do I need to re-add my reasoning to it again since you seem to have forgotten it. I've followed GTA Since GTA 2, and Multiplayer is a Nice Welcome made by a Different Team at Rockstar who had nothing to do with the Single Player side of things. I'm saying you're not a "True Fan" if you go straight to MP first. We played Single Player first since the first GTA game. Now with this new tread going on people go straight to MP. Most of which are not true fans but casual gamers. If they would take that team and put it with the Single Player team then we could have a more fun Single Player world. I didn't give up but I only getting about 4 hours of sleep and I need it. I will respond to one more post and if this post is up tomorrow on the top I will continue it. So your telling me, even though I've been buying and playing since GTA 2. Beaten all GTA Games since the III Era, SA and IV Twice, Downloaded all the Add-Ons and Attending the V Midnight Launch in my Area.. I am not a true fan, just because I am going online to screw around for most likely 30 Minutes Max to an Hour because we are going to go get our Copies Together. I ain't a true fan? Yep, now if you went to Single Player first and even back out right when you're there you are a true fan. Single Player is what made GTA games. MP is just a add on. Los Santos Fire I know Rockstar doesn't care about my opinion. They don't care about yours too. They want your money. They think of us as dust in this world we live in. So your saying, all I need to do is go into Single Player.. Watch the Intro, not even PLAY the Single Player Game.. Then exit out and then go on Multiplayer with my Mate? Alright, it all makes sense now. stop relpying to him! that's what he wants, he obviously wasn't loved enough as a child or probably still is a child lol with no friends. (is the mp still soaking with players? players?) Anyway, a well balanced game, SP and MP. The developers don't want to put time into SP, that's the thing, MP doesn't affect a game one, damn, bit. Take a look at SA:MP, which is the MP for SA obviously. Wow, it's so damn big, taking so much from disc space when we could've used it for SP. Like what? 20-30mb? Just quickly jump into the single player part of the game and jump right out before you do anything else, then.. Your safe and will be happy knowing that you, are a real true gta fan.. ON TOPIC! I hope so, I am really interested at what the Multiplayer Team at Rockstar are bringing to the table this time around. Looking forward to it quite a bit, hope they add some sort of Heist Type Mode where Two Teams must race to get there first, Cops and Robbers done right obviously and what ever else they can come up with. Single Player is what made GTA games. MP is just a add on. Are you 12? Or 11? Most people here including myself play GTA for the SP element because that's all there used to be. However in this industry, you can't survive/compete with just a SP element if you're making a new GTA every half decade like R* seems to be doing now. You simply won't make enough money to stay afloat in that long costly development period. When R*'s SP-oriented development uses the additional revenue from MP, they have potential to make the overall SP experience better. If anything, MP helps R* keep it's SP up to the fan base standards. Also, you're an idiot if you think MP will become obsolete. You are also an idiot if you think there is such thing as a "true fan".
