Remember when they announced GTA V the same day when Battlefield 3 came out? Remember when they revealed screenshots the same day when Battlefield 4 was revealed? Despite what other people think, I don't think the other news will necessarily "overshadow" the GTA V news. A whole bunch of people will be flocking to websites dedicated to video game news later on (for the new Xbox reveal and CoD Ghosts reveal), and they might notice other articles on the same site (possibly for new GTA V news). It's not like the dedicated GTA fans will miss out on the news anyways (no matter the date). R* might as well as their news thrown in with a bunch of other news that might appeal to other audiences. It seems like its only getting more important now that the very dial you use to switch between your three single player characters will also switch you right to multiplayer character. I dont see the big deal in adding more multiplayer function when every other games multiplayer that Rockstar has launched has always been solid and as solid as the single player experience. For me personally I dont like FPS games so both of those games on your list wont work for me. The reason why I enjoy GTA multiplayer is because of how original and fresh its multiplayer experience is compared to games like CoD and Battlefield. CryptReaperDorian Posted May 21, 2013 Share Posted May 21, 2013 I'm excited for multiplayer for GTA V, but not really about competitive multiplayer (at least deathmatches and the such, racing is fine). R* doesn't seem to be too good with the competitive multiplayer scene, but they have made fun co-op missions in previous titles (GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption) along with decently fun Free Modes (which still can be heavily improved upon). I think one thing R* can do is doing away with all of the blips and tags over the enemies in game modes like Deathmatch and TDM. I never said the game was made for me but what Rockstar is trying to do is get all the little kids from MP to play GTA. If they made GTA just for MP then we would get one every 2 or 3 years. These 5 years were mostly for Single Player. Rockstar cares more for Single Player then Multiplayer. Seeing that you only buying GTA V more for its MP is a joke to be honest. Id say that makes me a "true" GTA fan wouldnt you agree? But heres the thing - im buying V ONLY for the multiplayer! Sure ill play SP when im bored, but 95% of my time will be spent online. Does that make me less deserving of the game in your eyes? Well to f*ckin bad. GTA was not built just for YOU so your opinion means NOTHING. You say that people who play the multiplayer should leave? How are you a troll if you state your beliefs? There's a difference you know. I like that you stay in troll mode. That's good. But if i were you, i'd just completely ignore anyone who says you're a troll. And with the people who get annoyed, you need to actually address their points. No matter how spurious the logic you are using, it always looks better if you address the issue, instead of moving straight on to laying out more bait... Patience is key. This isn't trolling. Go on youtube look up IntelligentCoDFanboy he is a troll. What I'm doing is proving a point. You're not a true fan if you don't play Single Player first. Plain and simple. Some can't get over that it is in fact a true statement. GTA didn't have MP until IV. What did we do back then? We played the Single Player. I liked your work there with the whole unequivocal statement. The use of the word 'fact' is actually very striking. and i must say the work you did with the 'true fan' stuff is really good. The 'go play COD' angle was quite well developed in your first post i have to say that is a particularly hurtful thing to hear if you're a 'hardcore' gamer. But the link in the latest post weakens the entire effort for me. Ideally you want to disassociate from COD yourself, and linking to trolls who specialise in that field, almost reveals that you have been studying other's work.
