Nameless Foot Soldier
I am making this topic for two reasons. One, to help people think of new ways Niko can complete a mission and two, to help find what others may come up with and different mission playstyles. I have always enjoyed the main story of GTA IV for many reasons, one of them being the way Niko can go about and complete his missions as they are usually open to different ways to play and strategizes. Either it be the use of the phone to call the cops for a distraction or calling a friend for a favor to help your case on a mission. Now I know few friend abilities change things much but there is Dwayne's boys, Packie's bomb, Law Chick's/Francis' wanted off ability, Girlfriend abilities and the 911 feature that can allow police, paramedics and the fire department. With these, I was wondering if any of you have found new ways to use these to help finish a mission in a new and different way? Share perhaps? Because I for one still find new ways to beat missions. Dick Valor
And people say IV's missions were dull, repetitive, and had no replay value. f*cking cretins. Gamers these days need everything spoon fed to them. for showing some initiative and creativity. I still play IV to this day because of these nifty little features. Killerdude
Damn dude, You just opened up a whole new game for me, I'll have to go back and try some of this out! I did use Dwayne's Backup and Packie's Carbomb feature more than enough times to know how effective they are in most missions. Awesome.
Wolf of Badenoch
Using Packie's Car Bomb to finish off Ray Boccino in Pest Control. Nothing more satisfying. Edited May 22, 2013 by Valenta
Nameless Foot Soldier
Using Packie's Car Bomb to finish off Ray Boccino in Pest Control. Nothing more satisfying. You see, I tried that but I could never get it to work right. How did you do it?
GroundZero
First of all, call Packie after Jimmy Pegorino's phone call and go pick up the car bomb. Then drive to the marker where Ray is, but DO NOT GO INTO THE MARKER. Park your car away from the marker, then go behind Ray's car and plant the bomb. Then, get back to your car and drive to the marker. After a few seconds, detonate the bomb by selecting Packie from the Phonebook, then select Detonate. Mission completed

Mission completed I would suggest you wait until they stop for gas at the gas station aswell, it will blow up both cars and kill the whole crew as opposed to just one car. Yeah, the explosion will be more massive as well...
Nameless Foot Soldier
Well how about that! I want to go try that. I love this game and it's many choices.
Akaviri
Ah yes, some of my favorite missions were the simple assassinations that were left open to strategy. You missed one, though. It's not really a special ability, but the sniper rifle can be invaluable on certain missions. • Holland Nights - Francis McReary sends you to kill Clarence Little. You can climb up a crane and get a clear shot of your mark; just pop him off and the mission is done. Otherwise you have to shoot your way up three flights of stairs and waste a lot of time. • Final Destination - Mikhail Faustin sends you to kill Lenny Petrovic. Instead of going to the train station, go inside the opposite apartment building and up onto the rooftop. Now, at this stage of the game you don't have access to buy the sniper rifle, but if you're a decent enough shot you can get at him with a pistol or machine gun.
