Zip87
In all honesty, there better at least be SOME Desert Rock/Stoner Rock, this f*cking stuff originated in California and LA and the Palm Deserts, I mean come on, bands like , , [url=, , [url= of Reality, , [url= Manchu, and even stuff by [url= Lanegan. And hell, just the description of it: The Palm Desert Scene is a group of related bands and musicians from Palm Desert in Southern California. Their hard rock sound – which is often described as '"desert rock" – contains elements of psychedelia, blues, heavy metal and other genres, such as hardcore, as well as distinctive repetitive drum beats; typically performed with electric guitar, bass guitar and a drum kit. The musicians often play in multiple bands simultaneously, and there is a high rate of collaboration between bands. The Palm Desert Scene is also notable for producing stoner rock pioneers Kyuss. The term "stoner rock" is sometimes used interchangeably with "Palm Desert rock." However, not all Palm Desert scene bands are "stoner rock." If not a single trace of those bands appears in GTAV, then Rockstar seriously dropped the ball. edit: I mean come on, can't you just imagine riding over the dunes and dirt of Blaine County with some of those songs blasting out? That would be f*cking ace! This is the only worthwhile post in this thread.

ChillyPhilly
I know Rockstar isn't from the re-using music type of publishers but it would mean the world to the fans if they somehow could get their hands on using GnR once again. A fair few artists have more than one track in GTA soundtracks. Toto - Africa (VC) and Hold the Line (SA) Queen - One Vision (IV) and Radio GaGa (V) Michael Jackson - Billie Jean, Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (both VC) There's a fair few more, feel free to add. JumpingKentFlash
A great list of songs with legendary rock songs would look like this for me: 1.- Revolution - The Beatles. 2.- Waiting For The Man - The Velvet Underground. 3.- Ashes To Ashes - David Bowie. 4.- Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers. 5.- Union Square - Tom Waits. 6.- Baba 'O Reily - The Who. 7.- Rocks Off - The Rolling Stones. 8.- Heart-Shaped Box - Nirvana. 9.- Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen. 10.- Eat The Rich - Aerosmith. 11.- Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes. 12.- Back In Black - AC/DC. 13.- Paradise City - Guns 'n Roses. 14.- Money - Pink Floyd. 15.- Hammer To Fall - Queen. It'd be the only station I'd listen to......

JuanCortez
I'd love to see a return of Radio X with some alternative rock but I guess there will be another rock radio station? Like we've seen on the poster in that kid's room

RoadRunner71
Hmmm... No Bon Jovi eh?? LOL This one is a must, seriously. Ratt - Nobody Rides for Free That and Paradise City and I'll love the station. Fun fact, Paradise City was written in the back of a van that was heading to Los Angeles, back in the 85, if I remember well. I think they were returning from a show in Seattle. tenpennyisplainevil
I'm really a sucker for the mellow ones. Also really like The Doors for some reason, I heard one of their songs in the intro of Apocalypse Day (The End - The Doors) and eversince was hooked. Weird as hell for a 17 year old to be hooked on a 60's band lol.
JRC99
Avenged Sevenfold - 'quality' ? only REAL bands: Alice In Chains - Check My Brain While I love AiC, you could have chosen a MUCH better song than that. Why not something like "Heaven Beside You" or "Again"? Maybe something from Facelift (Not Man in The Box).
TheKrigeron
Its own station maybe? I'm hoping for a good driving rock station. Micheal Trailer, you can see a poster in Jimmy's room that had "Los Santos Rock Radio" written on it
RaptorXD25
Yeah, we definitely need more rock in GTA. SA had a lot of good songs. Classic rock, modern rock, and even a metal/hard-rock station would be great.
Steven Ride
Would like to see a classics station with The Doors, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, etc and a modern station with stuff like The Strokes, The National, Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, Tame Impala etc.

In all seriousness though that's a pretty silly viewpoint. There are plenty of good rock bands around today.

IMO it's way too overrated. IT's just not that good in my opinion. It is their biggest hit, yes, but I feel they made much better music than that song. I'd love to see a station dedicated to High Desert/stoner rock, with maybe some '60s and '70s psychedelia to spice it up. (Kind of like how Radio X in San Andreas had Guns N' Roses and Ozzy Osbourne along with the early '90s alt-metal.) Another idea for a rock station: SoCal punk and ska. The Offspring, No Doubt, Green Day, Blink-182, Bad Religion, basically a "skater rock" station. For this station, the songs , "Ten in 2010", and are all necessary; if you don't know what I'm talking about, then you are too young to be playing GTA. LAIMIPY
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mHe6FMs46o Could see Trevor on his travels with a bit of Iron Maiden. Btw does anyone think the idea of being able to go to a music store and buy the songs of your interest to go on a radio station together just like in Saints Row 1. Rockstar done something similar in Midnight Club: LA.
