Teh Edgiest Man on Earth
Slenderman? Scary? Are you fudging kidding me right? I am serious. Are you? This isn't normal. I would much rather see Amy's Baking Company in this game than any meme related bullshiet. That would cost money for them to borrow a character from another game and would be irrespective of their own ability to be creative and do their own things. Did you just say... "another game"? What is wrong with you, Slenderman isn't a fudging game. He was a creepypasta that WAS ACTUALLY CREEPY. Until Slender came and all yolo swag kiddies think it's hip and cool to be scared of a horribly made Unity shiet. Input
Though I would like something scary out in the forest I really would like it to not be Slenderman. Just like zombies, slenderman has been done to death. It's at the point where it's more of just a cash in character and the creepy element is gone. But again I really would like something creepy to stalk you out in the forest during night and maybe even the day.
MuffinMcFluffin
I think people misunderstood my point in this thread. I wanted it to be akin to San Andreas' Bigfoot. Easter eggs, myths, stories, and concepts that lend people to believe that something exists... when really it doesn't at all. Just enough subtlety to make people go "on the hunt," posting fakes, etc. despite the fact that Slenderman isn't really there.

Well no-ones gonna want slender man when people can be creative and think of things like Ratman or haunted sprunk factories. Though it does look like this games myth will be Bigfoot once again. Ben73
Yeah, No thanks. No Paranormal stuff. Someone else mentioned a A Psycho in the woods, that would be cool
MuffinMcFluffin
Yeah, No thanks. No Paranormal stuff. Someone else mentioned a A Psycho in the woods, that would be cool And yet again, people still miss the point. So you think Bigfoot is real, yeah? Oh, and did I say this should be the only thing in the woods? I said this should be a good wilderness myth. Meanwhile, Leatherface or any other real acting killer not only could but should be out there. I was not restricting this to Slenderman, and I was definitely not saying that he should truly exist. v17
I would rather have a serial killer that has captured pedestrians for sick experiments. Think the Human Centipeied (sorry for the spelling if that's wrong)
tenpennyisplainevil
Nah, i want some other stuff... Bigfoot is not even scary. Slenderman sure is, but i think i want something even scarier or maybe something more realistic like some cannibal serial killer... This. While driving around in a remote forest area, you come upon a partially hidden dirt road leading deeper into the woods. After a few minutes the trail comes to an end, and you find yourself outside an old cabin. After searching through the upper and ground floors without finding anything of interest, you discover a door hiding a staircase leading into the basement. What you discover in the basement is a scene straight from a nightmare. Blood-covered tools and menacing contraptions litter the tables and floors, and the metallic smell of blood is so strong it sticks to your tongue. You walk deeper into the basement, fearful of what you might discover. You hear a whimpering sound from a closet. You reach out with trembling hands to open it, and that´s when you hear the telltale sound of a chainsaw roaring into action behind you... Texas Chainsaw Massacre, much? The only movie that ever managed to scare me senseless, mainly because it was a true story. I just CAN'T cope with the fact that it really happened lol. Definately had a nightmare the following night.
The Pizza Delivery Guy
If done right I could see Slenderman in GTA V as the most epic easter egg in games. Seriously, if they took everything that the internet has done to make Slendy scary, driving in the countryside at night would be so much fun. Hell, I'VE contributed to the Slenderman overflow:
MuffinMcFluffin
I recommend people watch the YouTube series called Marble Hornets. It's amateur and not that creepy, but that was the first time I had ever heard of this "Slenderman" figure. I never knew that it was a pop-culture thing now... at least not until late last year. I just think that the myth would be wonderful.

brian.
No: 1: Slender Man 2: Zombies of any kind other than real life iTards (fruitTards?) 3: Pink or other girly Ponies 4: Vampires and Werewolves 5: cubes you can punch on java And especially not the slender man. The most over-rated, "me too" crap you can play since minecraft. That's my opinion. Just my opinion. But yea, Bigfoot is an american myth, right? Goes by different names elsewhere. Isn't SlenderMan a mexican thing? Yea, I know, LA, socal, but still, bigfoot before slenderman's overrated butt... Texas Chainsaw Massacre, much? The only movie that ever managed to scare me senseless, mainly because it was a true story. I just CAN'T cope with the fact that it really happened lol. Definately had a nightmare the following night. It's actually completely fictional. Just the leatherface and some minor details were based on truth, but not portrayed at all in truth. They marketed it as a true story, but the entire movie is a work of fiction, with very few "nods" to real events, very loose. "slenderman started at creepypasta" Nah, it was a mexican urban legend AFAIK. If not mexican, it is definitely a hispanic place, maybe spain, and definitely an urban legend long long old like bigfoot and loch ness. Edited May 23, 2013 by brian. FranticFatality
No freakin way. 1. Slender man is from a DIFFERENT game. It's like having the Pinkie from Doom just appear in one of the military bases. Not original at all. 2. Slender Man isn't even scary. It's just a boiled egg wearing a suit.
GTAforthe21thcentury
I'm not buying into this slenderman bullsh*t. Everybody has been clamoring over it since minecraft. It kind of sad, actually. A bunch of adolescent children that believe in a fairytale. I'm tired of these slenderman threads...

ainsz
Whether or not it's slenderman that's out there, you can definitely expect to find something lurking in the woods at night. The previews spoke of how much activity they found when they landed in the woods, how cyclists roamed by, fishermen reeling in a boot and teeming with wild life. Just think what might be happening out there at night.
brian.
YEA but be honest - when have you ever in your life seen a person older than 15 care about slender man's sudden popularity amongst kids who can't buy games yet? (seriously, when, cause I never have, so I am not sure it exists ) YouTube commentators doing it for 12 year olds to view and comment doesn't count! (and is also kind of pathetic - looking at you, woodysgamer*ag and whtboi7thdork, in case your type frequents the site xD). Edited May 23, 2013 by brian. Dale Nixon
They should actually mock Slenderman by hanging a note on one of the trees in a specfic forest and make it say something funny.
