Nothing can touch GTA...well maybe cawadooty thanks to it's mindless sheep 12 y/o fans! When Rockstar announces the date of a GTA game other companies have to plan around it! They know they have no chance in the presence of GTA! To go toe to toe with any Rockstar developed open world game is suicide. RDR was an unknown quantity when it released & other than knowing it was going to be a quality title, nobody expected much. Alan Wake, which had a lot of hype surrounding it & is actually a brilliant game, was destroyed by RDR. You're right, it's financial suicide to go against an open world Rockstar game. Not all their games though. Max Payne 3 didn't sell too well but it was a high quality enjoyable game nonetheless. Haha, seriously? SONY need to get their sh*t together with the PS Vita. I think it might pick up once the PS4 comes out. I picked a 3DS XL over a Vita.
