LittleBlueTroll
What exactly are you talking about? 1. I never mentioned/talked about COD, directly or indirectly. 2. Are you implying that COD sells more than GTA? Seriously? Even when the masses that used to buy it, just don't care about it any more? Either you are a moron of you can't read. I think it might be both. But back on topic, my point was that this is the topic to debate games competing against GTA V, not the topic to just go "yeah GTA V is the best woo" My first point being Rockstar are releasing this game at a time where there is no real established competition in September, which is clever because it means the game will dominate and sell more copies. My second point was, i brought up Call Of Duty as an example of a game that COULD of been serious competition for GTA, had they been released at the same time. Obviously they are not, but for the sake of the debate i brought it up to see what people's views would be if there was more competition around release time. I can read, write, type, do everything that a literate person would do, what's your point? It seems to be the contrary actually. I never mentioned COD, and inferring that I'm illiterate? Ironic. @ChronoStinger I never believed him that is why I asked the question in the first place, also it's *then. Mokrie Dela
I'm looking at the track records. Ubisoft, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry - selling out for as much DLC as they can, actually selling DLC before the game's even finished, shafting the fanbases, and where they once were one of the best, they're now just another EA wannabe. Their games are all heading in the same direction, and it's not a good one. Rockstar, GTA, widely considered the best of the sandboxes, RDR, a shockingly good all-round game, LA Noire (i'm aware it wasn't technically them), 'groundbreaking' but at the very least, fresh. Bully, Manhunt... I expect Watch Dogs to be like Ubisoft's other games; meh. It'll be broken by DLC that you can't have, and have to buy half the game to have the whole game after buying half the game, and I expect it to be riding one feature (the hacking) that's "new" and have little else to back it up (Granted, LA Noire had this also). GTA V, however I expect to be in the same vein of quality of GTA IV and RDR. Quality, which takes time to make. Kind of merging the size and scope of SA with the quality of IV. So "competition"? Nah. That's like entering me in a race with Usain Bolt. I'd be left far, far, behind. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Those are valid and reasonable points your brought up there as an argument onto the table and i completely support it! Though it sounds a bit too "fanboy-ish" even though i'm sure thats not what you intended to make it sound like! Just trying to be objective here, no offense please! komalr
@ nigelhere9901 : tms_junk isn't saying anything, as the topic title suggest "Games that are competing against GTA V Games coming out on September!" tms_junk just mentioning that GTA V would have a stiff competition if a game like COD with a established sheep-base would hamper the sales of GTA V, if it were to be released along side GTA V. Durden
watch dogs is basically AC with cars and hacking GTAV is basically GTAIV with palm trees & planes. And a single story unlike IV with separate storylines. And a bigger map. And animals. And more vehicles. And customizable weapons. And heists. And an explorable underwater world. Now I could make the same type of post, but about Watch Dogs. I love V way more than WD, but I was just picking on the guy I quoted, offering him a perspective of what a WD fan might say about V.
