For me the last one was one of the biggest let downs I've experienced in gaming. Saints Row 2 was fun and silly, whilst offering an interesting city and gangs, with some serious parts scattered throughout which just made it great imo. Saints Row: TT however royally pissed me off. Boring city, boring side missions, boring pedestrians, boring free roam (when you can literally do whatever you want and not have to worry about dying, it becomes very tedious for me), now it looks like they've stepped further into the "Let's make this as stupid as we possibly can, that = fun" mindset so I definitely won't be buying SR4. Watchdogs looked interesting to me at first, but then I realised that it doesn't really look like a game where you can just free roam GTA style causing chaos around the city and messing with pedestrians and cops by gunning them down... so I just don't see how long it will be fun for unless you're playing the missions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But how many people will get new consoles to play that version anyway, just a handful. On current gen it's got nothing except for a ''hacking'' system where you're forced to use your phone all the time. Just imagine playing IV while having to use the phone all the time and you'll get the idea. I'm pretty sure that game won't have anything on V. And Saints Row 4 is a comedy, a caricature of itself now. And the game as a whole is more of an expansion pack than a true new game (after all, it did start as DLC for SR3). So I don't think anything in third person, sandbox genre can compete with the grandiosity of V that will define what next gen titles must deliver. And it delivers on this gen. Patriot_Action Posted May 20, 2013 Share Posted May 20, 2013 Honestly GTA V could be terrible (relax you animals, I'm speaking rhetorically) and it will still sell like crazy and be the top story in gaming media simply because of the brand name and the controversy associated with it. If it's as amazing as we all hope it is, the more attention it will draw. I'm going to have to agree that it will be much "bigger" than nearby releases. I have a friend that is such a SR fanboy... He likes SR3 more than GTAIV because apparently IV is "boring" and SR3 is "awesome". I talked to him a few days ago, and he thinks that SR4 looks "pretty stupid" and GTAV looks "awesome".
