Grappling hook?

Edit: its also funny somehow a Jetpack fits gta but a grappling hook is only for superheros.

As we all saw Michael rappels down a building in one of the missions so far. Wouldent this be a useful tool to climb up and down buildings? Your thoughts?

Good call haha. I wasent thinking like a high tech grappling hook. Just one you throw a d have to keep using to climbing up buildings. Basically like holding a ladder everywhere you go. It can only go so high. And takes a little bit of time.

Your just gonna "throw" a grappling hook up a 50-60 story building?

I don't want a batman style grapple gun either.

The only way to use rappelling gear (it's in the name) is to attach at the top and rappel down.

So much hate in this thread. I don't see why not since the game is focused on heists and there was rappelling gear, it only makes sence to have a grappling hook.

So much hate in this thread. I don't see why not since the game is focused on heists and there was rappelling gear, it only makes sence to have a grappling hook.

I just liked the idea of being on top of buildings. Height is a big advantage in gun battles. In gta 4 you could hold down one area and have two guys on the roof crouched and invisible and two guys drawing in more fire. To bad tdm was less reward able for good strategy.

Grappling hooks will NOT BE IN GTA V! Only repelling gear, that's about it. This isn't Batman.

You're stupid, grappling hooks are used to climb up on things, they aren't shot out like in Batman or Just Cause, maybe you should start learning that there is a real life out there aswell.

I suggest a grappling hook on the wishlist thread as we need another way, besides ladders and stairs, to get up to the 1st possibly 2nd level of a building. My brother-in-law is a mountain leader and highly experienced rock climber (through the Armed Forces) and he carries a small hook as part of his gear. The US Marines are trained to use them too. Where did all this Batman and Just Cause comparison come from? Spotty greasy kids try to stick with the majority (big crowd) so that their lame arguments have supposed weight to them. Narrow views and inexperience are in abundance on this forum.

Not grappling hook to scale a building, I don't think that's really possible. Rather something like a grappling hook gun that shoots ziplines across buildings, like the one in the opening scenes of The Dark Knight. I hope rappelling down buildings can be used outside of that IAA missions too, so you won't get stranded on building tops like in GTA IV.
