gevans81
I'm going back through some of the previews and I'm sure I can recall one of them mentioning that GTA 5 looked nothing as good as the trailers? Could somebody help me out? Cheers

kesta195
IGN were unnecessarily critical of the graphics. Kotaku mentioned that the demo did not look as good as the trailers, but said it still looked good.
GTAfan786
I just watched CVG's preview on Youtube again and they said it's exactly like the screenshots apart from a few differences in resolution and plays exactly like the trailers.
littleBIGman
I don't really care as long as its not as dull, grey and blurry as GTA4. It looks bright, colourful and detailed this time around, besides it will do until i get the new xbox console version, which i am sure will look amazing!! Wheatley
Kotaku also responded with the same statement but when they queried Rockstar about while they were showing the Demo off, they responded to saying along the lines of that the demo was an older build compared to the screenshots. -Wheatley
wwinterj
I just watched CVG's preview on Youtube again and they said it's exactly like the screenshots apart from a few differences in resolution and plays exactly like the trailers. I'm not saying they are wrong but remember CVG seems to have the exclusive stuff this time around so won't say anything bad about the game. With that said IGN are salty because of this. I see CVG already giving the game 10/10 and IGN may lower the score due to them been salty. Not that game sites opinion matters because the game will look great and I'll be buying it anyway as I'm sure we all will. besides it will do until i get the new xbox console version, which i am sure will look amazing!! It'll be a port if anything at all. Nothing to get hot and bothered about or a big difference. Thik PC compared to current gen consoles. Also think Bully when that was ported to the 360. There are about 10million seconds in 4 months, and GTA 5 is expected to sell 20 Million copies in the first week. Does anyone know how long it would take to burn/make 20 million copies ? Does anyone know how long it would take to burn/make 20 million copies ? 20 million copies in the first week? I highly doubt that this is going to happen. GTA IV sold 6 million copies in the first week at a time when four times less consoles were on the market. The potencial sales of videogames don't increase proportionally to the increased amount of users on the console base, not even close. EvilFuture
Eh, they still have a while to go on the game. I'm sure what they shown was just an earlier build. Either way, none of them said it was bad, they just said it didn't look like the trailers, but it definitely wasn't bad graphics.

Could somebody help me out? Cheers The one that mentioned blurry resolution were also the one who complained TWICE during the same article about a sidemission character that took an awkward path to enter the passenger seat of the protags car. Everyone else understand that the game is still not polished and that such small things will get fixed - or you just accept that these things will happen in open world games from time to time. But this guy really pointed it out like its a major flaw. This tells me all i need to know about this person and what dellusional expectations he keeps for this game. The resolution has to be compromised compared to say RDR because of the massive scope, but it will be made up for with lighting and atmosphere and thats what the other articles focus on. I dont worry at all!
LeFox
Not sure about you guys, but I'll still be happy if it still had GTA IV's graphics, to me, those graphics are still impressive. Only thing that bothered me about GTA IV was that its character model / movement was pretty much rag doll.

GTAIV is the only open world game that does not use ragdoll or pre recorded animations. Thats like the one huge thing they should get credit for. The peds try to soften their own falls by using their arms and no other sandbox game on this planet has such a complicated AI impact engine. I thought they were impressive. And yes, I guess I do like those mysterious yellow piss tint the game had. It was the first open world game to use Euphoria (which is apparently not a cheap or easy system to use). Obviously RDR & MP3 improvedved upon it, especially RDR adding the animal animations. I'm just playing IV at the moment & I love getting peds to try & pull me out of the car, driving off with them clinging to the door handle. Single greatest addition to the GTA franchise since proper aerial vehicles in VC.
