bert2010
I only recently discovered GTA vice city on my ipod and I really like it. Therefor I have now the version on my PC too. On IPOD, after getting busted/waisted, all my money and armour was intact. The current mission restarted directly. Now on my PC after getting busted/waisted, my money and armour is lost. Also I have to restart all over again from the beginnen. I like more the "autosave" as on my IPOD. I can go back to the safehouse to save once and I while, but not very helpfull if I have to quit very fast. Is there some feature or option that I can change on my PC to activate this "autosave"? Thanks in advance
Dope_0110
They only started adding autosave option after IV came out and added it on android and iOS versions of GTA III and Vice City due to convenience. So that option was not in the original PC version of Vice City and when you die or are arrested you loose $ 100, your weapons and armor. But really, do you really need that. The game is too easy anyway. If you loose your weapons, it's no more than a minute to drive to the nearest ammunation and buy new guns and armor. bert2010
hey thanks for the information. So I'll keep on driving to the safe house to save after every mission so I can restart if a mission fails.
Dope_0110
You don't need to save after every mission. If you fail a certain mission, you just need to go to the location where you started the mission it to start over. In fact, if you are arrested or die during a mission, a taxi car will appear and you can get in and it will drive you to the start of the mission (you don't watch the whole ride, it fades to black and you're immediately transported where you need to be). The only reason to go to a save house after every mission would be if you're afraid electricity might go out or your PC might shut down or crash the game. But that's something I've never had problems with.
radioman
The only reason to go to a save house after every mission would be if you're afraid electricity might go out or your PC might shut down or crash the game. But that's something I've never had problems with. OR to collect the Hidden Package rewards-weapons and armor. Plus, If you die or get busted, you only lose a small amount of money(which is not really noticeable) and your weapons/armor. Since there are quite a few good weapons which spawn at 3 safe houses in the city, the ONLY weapons you need to buy are: an SMG type, Assault rifle type(Ruger OR M4) and shotgun.-these can also be found for free throughout the city. Armor is free from 3 safe houses(after 10 hidden packages) OR free at spawn points throughout VC. So, not a big deal/issue. Also, you just have to restart the last mission and NOT the whole game if you die/get busted(unless you exit without saving and have no other saves available-which since there are 8 save slots, there is NO reason to not have at least one save available).
