When you're away from the city life you'll have that feeling of isolation where any animal can come, a shark can come out of no where and scare the sh*t out of you, a crazy man with a chainsaw in the forest could come out of no where and hurt you. possibilities are endless. I agree. I really thought the remote back woods and wilderness areas of San Andreas looked like they were very scary places to be at night when it was dark. It would have been brilliant if there was any kind of animal or human danger to compliment this, but there was nothing there to fear at all. Otherwise i guess you will have to explore at night with the headlights of an ATV, or dirt bike. You stop at a red light and *snap*..you're getting jacked or somebody does a driveby on you. First of all - this is very unlikely to happen , second we're talking here about things that scare you regardless of circumstances! In order to be scared of the gun put in your skull you need to find yourself in that situation, while stuff like screamers, ghosts, aliens and such scare your regardless!...Thats the whole point! When i play some great horror games i get scared regardless! I can post you a screamer and you'll sh*t your pants just by checking the link! Of course most people would be scared if they were in an area like the ghetto where the likelihood of getting robbed, beaten up or killed was is high. But that just means the area is dangerous and filled with scary people who could potentially cause you serious harm, not scary in the way environment looks. Without the threat of rampant crime and violence, the ghetto would not feel so scary. But in a dark, dense wooded area or forest out in the middle of remote countryside would feel very scary indeed, whether anyone or anything dangerous was there or not. I'm not scared when I'm in the streets at night, but I'm super aware because there are some nutty dudes roaming around, pits with no leashes, and it's extra dark because of bullsh*t streetlights.
