How long before hackers ruin GTA 5 multiplayer

Now that both consoles and PC can be hacked quite easily, how long do you guys think we will have to before hackers ruin the game like GTA 4 and its episodes?

Its also the reason I may wanna play MP before storyline, but the bad side is, it may ruin the storyline (finding places before missions, etc...)

So whats your opinion guys?

I am hoping that R* will host dedicated servers in the multiplayer to disallow people from modding in the first place.

What I like about Battlefield 3 is all their servers are run by DICE/EA, so therefore there are no modders. Forgive me for being naive, but I think that's the reason why there is none.

Maybe a day or two after release if we don't have dedicated servers. I know modding friends who are per ordering mods for gtav so once hacking sellers find out the hacks they'll send it to them. It's a group of friends btw

R* is going to implement the cheater pool system like in MP3 I reckon.

Either way, it will appear eventuality, but it will be little or no modders once the pool goes live.

If they are doing it for the consoles and are using stupid mods like God mode and so on, you should beat the sh*t out of them. colgate.gif

On a serious not, modders on consoles are not good at all. There is probably one or two decent lobbies that are modded in good ways, but the rest are kids using god mode and firing rpg's from guns. I think it will start to show modded lobbies in a month or two.

This would be my guess also. Although I've not played Max Payne 3 online R* seem to borrow things from there other games for GTA so this would work.

Nothing pisses me off more than joining a free-mode on GTA IV, and being set on fire or being blown up, as soon as I spawn, or maybe that asshole that runs everyone over in his car that takes no damage, and you start shooting him in his head to come to realise that he's also got god-mode on. I hate these f*cking idiots, and they destroy everything. People with no friends and no lives.

Lol I know, if I'm correct i believe they're implementing mods from gta4 to gtav. Like god mode and character skins. I just hope they spawn some cars, I love it when they do

You're naive not because dedicated servers will disallow people from modding in GTA V ( if server's admin want this )

You're naive if you're hoping R* is going to give us dedicated servers.

When it is released on Console. I give it a few weeks until hackers start appearing.

But then, when that does happen won't be able to blame the PC area of players since will have to wait 6months + more for it to come for us.

Tbh, I have no problem playing with the cool modders that do dope sh*t like spawn neon cars for everybody, etc. But then you have the asshole modders that turn on God mode and do stupid sh*t like set everybody on fire for no reason, spawning everybody to one place just to be a dickhead, etc. So the asshole modders ruin it for the good modders.

They must do something to prevent modders. I think they will do something about it, with all the talk about how big the MP is this time I think it wouldnt be very easy to use mods atleast on consoles (esp. ps3).

Because otherwise it will all be for nothing.

Never played IV online much, never knew people could play multiplayer with jailbroken ps3's.

f*ck IT MAN!

I just tried TBoGT online and guess what? Invincible assholes spraying explosive bullets out of their rifles and flying helicopters around with what I think auto aim on because they shoot you dead in a second. And auto aim was off.

I hate it man. Why can't I never find a game with legit playing people? sad.gif

There needs to be a way to distinguish between servers with modded players on them and ones without. GTA IV had the right idea when they removed the file check but added the ability to see what mods people have on the server selection screen on the PC version. This idea should apply for all versions of the game on all consoles including PC - if there is one released.

I'll admit that I use the trainer on Free Mode but without other players around me. For me there is always a boundary to modding. Taking things too far such as using god mode or abusing other players is a no no for me personally but spawning my favourite car with my own selected colours? That's ok. Sometimes I spawn cars for other players too - that's if they don't use them to abuse other players in the same game.

To be perfectly honest with myself, the most fun I ever had playing online on GTA IV was when I discovered that you could use some of the trainers features on Free Mode or Party Mode. I had a blast changing my Faggio model to a shopping cart and racing against other players. I also had fun when you could activate the ragdoll mode on command with M+NumPad5 - you wouldn't believe how fun it was just jumping off the control tower, ragdolling my character then landing in the back of a pickup truck.

There are some bad points though. Those who abuse the ability to use the trainer on free mode on consoles. I have a full 5 minute video on my phone of these two modders (I don't know if I should post their PSN names - which I took a picture of) who managed to freeze my helicopter in mid air and I couldn't get out. They kept spamming thousands upon thousands of Ambulances causing my PS3 to come to a screeching halt.

Also I know many of you will call my a hypocrite for using the trainer online for fun then hating on those who use it on consoles but there is a clear difference between using it to just have fun and abusing it. I have never abused it online around other players seeing as I've just spawned my favourite bike or car. I with a few others have been classed as the "Cool Modders" apparently, those who just want to have fun with what they have at disposal.

Well all that is fine I guess.. But I hope you don't do this.

I was once in a game aswell with modders who were friendly. But they were always showing off their vehicles and never let me go away. Always honking and sh*t..

I know you've got a pretty badass vehicle thanks to modding.. Now let me go!!! >_<

If players openly ask for the car I'm driving, then I just get out and give it to them with not contest. It's best to be friendly to the other players because if you do then they'll be friendly to you in return.

Probably when people play it less.

GTAV is gonna be big on both consoles and both Microsoft and Sony know it.

They'll take good care of it, the amount of players will also help get the hackers known.

Is nobody worried that by the time they finished story mode, multiplayer will be full of hackers like TBOGT?

multiplayer problems on day one

Doubt it, I got MP3 like a day after it released, got the last copy as a matter of fact. I played the story a little then tried out the multiplayer and everything was fine.

Also, I think the hackers bring fun to some lobbies, but I've only ever been into maybe like 5 of them. The funnest one being a ramp that went WAAAAY in the sky and then it stopped at this platform where you could turn your car around and such and then you could fly down the ramp and it was so fun. Then some asshole hit me while I was going down the ramp and made me fly off and he voted to kick me and then everyone did and I got kicked from the round angry.gif

But with good, there's usually always bad. Nothing pisses me off more than to get into a match and like everyone there is a hacker and they all pick on you. The worst being that huge massive explosion thing they can do. I was in a match and we were all just having fun and we were mostly riding together and then one random guy joined and this HUGE explosion thing happened and we all got blown up and everyone got furious and left.

I don't think the hackers will get into GTA 5 for at least a year, hopefully WAY WAY WAY more.

Lets just hope that it is not quickly because I would actually like to enjoy features like the multiplayer instead of what happened with IV.

That being said, I agree with the comment above me
