Diesleman
GTA should be like a 90's action movie: lots of unrealistic stuff for the sake of fun, but not to the extent where it feels out of place. The protag should be able to be like John McClane or Rambo. Spot on, Bruce willis type sh*t
jamieleng
I hate TBOGT missions so bad!I love gta4. Its perfect, but I cannot stand TBOGT! I hope V is realistic as possible. no crazy sh!t please! if you don't want crazy sh*t, there is something you should try. it's called real life. Lol. Well let me put it this way. Think Gran Turismo series - they go out of their way to make driving and cars realistic as possible. Its driving Simulator! Now I want GTA to be CRIME SIMULATOR! Real criminals dont go to rampage or drive without care. This is what I always wanted. Realistic crime simulator. Where u really need to worry about cops, never shoot in public unless really needet, etc. I know V wont be like that. Im just saying what I would like Booooooooring! I like the 'realism' brought to the HD era, but realism & OTT fun are not mutually exclusive.
Eternal Moonshine
San Andreas and TBoGT types of missions are the best ones
Ospreyoso
The crazy sh*t is what most of us like in GTAs(At least I think so). Jumping out of planes, driving like crazy, epic shootouts and explosions etc... Realism is good thing when talking about the details of cars, guns and such. I liked most TBOGT missions, they were a bit more crazier than in IV.
GR7
If GTA V is going back to San Andreas style gameplay then breaking into a secret government base and stealing top secret equipment isnt out of the question..... I would say it's going to be more in the style of TBOGT which was a hybrid of GTAIV's realism and SA's over the top missions. The episodes were one big experiment on what to do with V in terms of tone, multi protagonists and possibly even story length since if we heard right GTAV will be shorter than IV which would be a good thing. I hope it's around the same length, it's been in development for quite a long time now so I think it'll be roughly the same length. But could be shorter, nobody exactly knows do they?.. And I agree with you on the tBoGT part, least I know for a fact there will be less Drive Here, Pick Up Her/Him. Drop off this, go to here, shoot this guy.. I would be fine if it was the same length since GTAV most definitely will much more mission variety. But at the same time I would also be alright if they did something like 70-85 mission so the story doesn't drag and more people actually finish the game this time. The resources that would have went into filler missions could go into adding more side missions and stranger encounters for the players that wanted more.
