rob243 Posted May 18, 2013 Share Posted May 18, 2013 In gta the ballad of gay tony we had the best type of mission , such as throwing people off building , destroying yachts with a millitary chopper , hijacking trains , and throwing celebrities out of planes and afterwards catching them , and these were only a few . whilst in gta 4 the missions were boring and repettive , since gta 5 storywill be roughly the same length as gta 4's i was wondering if they would give as missions similar to gta 4's , or make it much more fun such as gta tbogt .Rockstar has already confirmed that we will have 6 big heist and showed trevor doing some crazy and awesome things in the 2nd trailer . The one throwing The Celebinator out of the heli and catching him with the parachute was cool, but the rest aren't anything special IMO. Judging by GTA V's trailers it looks a bit more crazy than GTA IV, but hopefully it balances out to make the andrenaline pumping moments more meaningful. Also some missions that may test my knowledge and missions that allow me to be creative in the way that I approach them. In relation to someone's comments above about realism. Man, people throw that word around so much. I was a "realism" fan but that realism sort of came from my love of realism in shows like The Wire and films like Animal Kingdom which don't really translate terribly well to video games like GTA except for a minority. But to the general GTA gamer, "epic" missions are more fun. They give the player the thrill, the wild, the unimaginable. They take you on a trip, reality just can't do. It's a great escape. So while I'll appreciate the environments realism, traffic, pedestrians, wildlife, exploration, physics, clothes, brand rip-offs, I want the people to be realistic and the dialogue to be realistic but I want the situations you put these realistic things in to be wild. Life is wild and crazy so why not put it in a game? Look at the film Goodfellas. It's based on Henry Hill's life. The FBI said that it's the most realistic depiction of the Mafia he's ever seen. But it's wild. Borrowing a knife off your litttle old mother so you can stab Billy Bats to death is crazy and then returning it to her without her having a clue is mental. Yeah, stealing a whole car with a helicopter is wild but you had the tools to do it in GTA, so why not? GTA for me is like...well if I had had a Lamborghini and I was completely immune to the law and I wanted to piss down a beach and run over sunbathers or crash a plane in to a bulilding without consequence, I can do that. I can admire the AI and how people react to such an atrocity. GTA V looks like it will bring back this element of cheeky havoc, causing a bit of mayhem in creative ways from the land, the sea and the air. Overall the bank heists thing sounds fun. Thats it. Thats all weapons I would need to use. I dont really like to shoot. Also I would love if u could carry just pistol and one primary weapon with you. Like in most fps games. Think Gran Turismo series - they go out of their way to make driving and cars realistic as possible. Its driving Simulator! Now I want GTA to be CRIME SIMULATOR! Real criminals dont go to rampage or drive without care. This is what I always wanted. Realistic crime simulator. Where u really need to worry about cops, never shoot in public unless really needet, etc. I know V wont be like that.
