kudoboi
But EA has pulled out of the Wii U because sales of both hardware and software are dreadful. We're not officially allowed to report sales numbers from Chart Track in the UK but everyone in the publishing business can see them quite clearly. There's no need for pretence. When you can get to number one in the Wii U charts by selling less than 1000 units it's no longer a tragedy, it's an actual farce. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2013...death-by-apathy
darthYENIK
They'll eventually come around when the price drops. The games will still be sh*t to us hardcore gamers, but they'll probably sell a million copies of whatever the next generation's "Just Dance" will be. But remember, the nextbox is suppose to have a kinect built in from the start. Wouldn't that be better for games like Just Dance? The Wii U, might be the next dreamcast. A console that failed cause it launched either too late for the previous gen and too earlier for the next. Formerly known as The General
GTA 360
The problem is that although the Wii was very successful it was just a fad, people bought it, played it for a few months and now it sits there under the TV collecting dust. And now they released the Wii U thinking great loads of people bought the Wii people with the Wii are thinking well I don't play this so why would I want another? xXGayKillaXx
In the not so distant future, the iPad's going to be on par with the Wii U! Look at all the iPad games ATM, it seems that it's already tackling Wii games.
Cosmic Gypsy
I'm glad it's suddenly become popular to make fun of the Wii. I've been saying it's sh*t since the first one (because it was..)
friendly luggage
The Wii U could do with a Mario Kart game. Would look awesome in HD and would probably bring some interest back into the machine.

It's been like this for quite a while, actually. Hating on the Wii pretty much means that you have a big penis and are a hardcore badass to gamers, can't really blame them though, neither of them are really great consoles IMO. Wheatley
The problem with the WiiU are two things: 1.The General Public believe that the WiiU is just an expansion to the current Wii and not an actual new console. and 2.There isn't a "Killer" game to save the console currently. With number 1, I think Nintendo should've came up with another name. Hell, I think that the Wiis old name "Revolution" would've sorted the Wii U just fine. Do you know how many times parents try to buy Wii U games for their childs Wii believing that the "Wii U" is just a tablet accessory for the Wii? Too many times. With number 2, the reason the Wii sold so well was because it had the "killer" title on launch: The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Also, the console was much more affordable coming in at £175.99. With the ever so popular Zelda as a launch title, Nintendo were pretty much sitting on a diamond mine yet with the WiiU, it only had "Nintendo Land" and "ZombiU" - not exactly what you would call "amazing". Now, I don't believe Nintendo should turn to just making games for existing consoles. They are good at what they do, making consoles and exclusives. This whole situation harkens back to Nintendos own GameCube. The launch wasn't successful because it wasn't promoted very well and the launch titles weren't very good apart from a few diamonds in the rough. Then suddenly, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Mario Kart: Double Dash were released and both Nintendo and 3rd Party companies were confident in the GameCube. I strongly believe that once Nintendo unveil their First Party titles such as the new Smash Bros., 3D Mario Title, Retro Studios supposed Metroid title and more around E3 then we'll see a slight boost in sales around this years holiday season. Nintendo have made mistakes before such as the 3DS's launch price, but they fixed that and now the 3DS is becoming one of the best selling portable device this decade. -Wheatley Edited May 18, 2013 by Wheatley

No, it just means that you don't like bad quality consoles, shovelware and/or nintendo's horrible business practices.

My dad has a Wii at his house and I don't think I've played it in almost 3 years. It just sits there by the tv completely unused. But the biggest reason that people hate on Nintendo for, is that they market all their games to kids. They act like liking Nintendo means that you are a kid or something. Keep in mind, I'm not a Nintendo fan, I'm just stating what I've observed. Edited May 18, 2013 by The Viperman

The difference is that the Dreamcast was good! It failed because it was ahead of its time with the online features, whereas the WiiU is still stuck this generation. But consoles have a long cycle, they still have plenty of time to catch up, I hope so anyway, it would be a Shame if they got squashed my Sony and Microsoft. Jake
I haven't owned a Nintendo system since N64. People say the cube was good but I never bought one. Played it a bit and it seemed pretty solid. And then came the damn Wii. What a piece of crap. And WiiU was diarrhea. They need to just create games on Sony and MS consoles like I and a lot of others have been saying for years. And stick with their handhelds perhaps. Other than that, give me super smash bros and mario kart on xbox.
