Lock n' Stock
There are ZERO wild crocs in California, I live here I would know. Yeah, I think they're more concentrated in the Southern parts of the US, like Florida and Louisiana for example.

According to wiki there's only 2000 Crocs in the US and they're all in southern Florida.

Reebokanonymous
There will NOT be crocodiles in this game. As RedDragonsBOOM and a few others have said, they are not found in California. As you can see, the acutus species is found in southern Florida, but that is the only location they're found in the states, and there are only about 2000 of them. Alligators are much more prevalent. I can't wait to revisit Vice City and go into the swamps like Amos Moses. Going from Los Santos to Vice City would be weird, though, considering the immense diversity of landscape and larger scope of southern California. My hope is that Rockstar makes a GTA game with Vice City and some proxy for New Orleans, and maybe Atlanta.

killahmatic
crocs...they terrify me . You're terrified of crocodiles? Get educated. They aren't monsters. I'm not trying to be rude but you sound like the kind of person that would kill a harmless snake because you think they're all dangerous or aggressive. Let's put you inbetween a bunch of wild lions and see how you won't be scared of them because they aren't monsters. Or even better, let's have a bunch of Black Widows crawl over you. Get educated, they aren't monsters.
