I think interest in general has waned for GTAV. I mean every time there been a new trailer for V we have broken the gta forums record. However this time around with the three newest ones we barely made it past 6000 of I can remember correctly.

 

I doubt the record will be broken for a while yet. Certain not on the release day it never happened for IV did it?

Well, i would hope they would be empty, because that would mean that people are too focused playing this epic f*cking game. If the forums are crowded that is a bad thing, not just for this game but any game. As that generally means that there are a lot of issues with the game, that are pissing people off.

Seeing as the release of GTAIV held the record for most users online untill GTAV's announcement/first trailer (don't rember which one it was that finally broke it) I'm sure GTAV will follow suit and have a metric f*** ton of people on at once.

It'll break a record. Lots of people that can't play V at the moment, or people with technical issues, or a bunch of casual fans reading up some of the threads on this site or looking for news.

 

Also you really can't compare IV's launch to V's. To prove this, just look at the difference in views that the games' trailers have. A few million compared to tens of millions.
