LennonNL Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 I really don't want to pre order a PS3 version of this (could be Xbox360 for you) because the PS4 could be out by Christmas or something. It would make more sense to me to wait out to save up for a PS4 and buy a (possibly) graphically better version of this, rather than wasting my money on a PS3 version. Just to say aswell, I'm not saying that I'd wait out because the PS4 version will be a completely new game, but surely there will be updates to the next gen versions that allow better loading/rendering, and possibly better, smoother and more photo like graphics. Maybe the PS3/Xbox360 versions are so ambitious because they are expecting to bring the same version out on next gen consoles by Christmas (3 months after release)? Thoughts. NOW. Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 I really want this game on PS4, I got my PS3 back in like 2008 and it's dusty, scratched, half-broken, no space on the memory, I just want to pack it away but I have to keep until GTAV is released. It's not really a big problem for me, of course, but it would be nice to own GTA V on PS4. I'm just happy I'm not a person who's PS3/Xbox recently broke and I have to buy a new one just for V lol. First of all I will not be buying one at launch for the following reasons: -Lack of games on the systems - Some games on the system will just be ports with minor upgrades - The price My current gen consoles are good enough for at least a year or two. I'll be buying Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed 4 on the PS3 as I don't care for the ports on next gen consoles. I'll buy a next gen console a year or so after release, ps4 been my first one and by then more games will be on the system that are not ports, the price will have dropped a bit and there is a chance a slim version will be out. Until then all the great games that are out and coming out for current gen systems will last me. GTA V is one of them. Next gen consoles have no relevance to GTA V period. Have these people who jump on the next gen bandwagon lived through more than one console cycle? I have to ask myself this question because these people seem like kids. Did all your PS2's suddenly cease to exist and you HAD to buy a PS3 in the first week or something? The first year of a console is always the slowest and most buggy, so what if the PS4 and Next Xbox are out by the end of the year, it's going to be another 6 Months or so before they've worked out any teething problems with the new networks and UI (Remember the Original Xbox Dashboard and PS3 XMB??? And how little they had). I didn't get a PS3 til early to mid 2008 because by that point there was enough games to justify the purchase AND Sony had already patched and updated the UI to allow in game XMB and trophies and better Chat set up, etc. Seriously, I don't know WHY suddenly it's an issue that a new console is coming out, the way people are acting is like their current ones will just cease to exist and fade off into a different dimension. I will probably change my mind but because I will finish university soon and get a nice job the PS3-generation will be the last for me since I will most certainly stop playing video games regularly when I get money for more expensive hobbies. I cant see even PC version to be out atleast until all the dlc planned for Ps3/Xbox360 is out. It might be announced by christmas, but will be available atleast 5-6 months after current gen console release. All that if there is a next gen version and not just PC version that is. I will take the same position on this I'm getting it for the PS3 on release day, there is no question about that, mine is already pre-ordered. It looks great from the screenshots now, and they come from the PS3 version, so I don't think there is much to worry about as far as the visual are concerned. DS 17 Posted May 17, 2013 Share Posted May 17, 2013 I sold my RRoD-XBox 360 + 2 games for 100 Euro some weeks ago, bought it for 250 Euro without any game and I was so happy to get it sold, because this was just a peace of crap. Just make sure the next consoles won't have these issues like the current-gen are having. I also heard the PS3 has something similar to the Red Ring of Death. There is still no confirmation that it will be released on PS4. Also even if it was it would still be the same game and will not be graphically better. Games that are made on the console have a fixed set of settings in terms of graphics. So if graphics are your concern, you have a better possibility on waiting out for the PC version.
