GTAV is the darkest GTA of them all.

Think about it.

I know GTAV is all bright and colorful but when you think about it, GTAV is the darkest and saddest GTA ever and says so much about the GTA series itself.

Think of the characters.

Michael - A retired bank robber that made a sweetheart deal and got out of the business at the top, he's the GTA character that made it, but evidently ...He's trying to get back in the game, meaning that no matter how far a GTA character goes, or even how low...

A GTA character is stuck in that life until he dies. He's really not able to get out of that life.

Trevor - A normal character that has embraced the GTA nature, he's been going on rampages and killing tons of people way before the story of GTAV takes place. He's living in a dump, his life is the opposite of Michael's, but he's still 'Being a GTA character'.

Franklin - A gangster that's trying to get out of the life, but in doing that, a GTA character is born... Meaning GTA characters are made all the time, whether they get a game or not is unknown, but we know they are. (Canonically ofc lol)

And GTAV is gonna be what these GTA characters do canonically when they meet.

A GTA character isn't a menace or a mass murderer.

A GTA character is just a normal person that got mixed up in things, and will never get out ...Not even possible for him to get out, except for death.

Ain't no rest for the wicked, until we close our eyes for good.

Did you not play GTA IV. That game looks much darker than this game and it's much more serious than stealing money from banks and what not. IV is the darkest GTA of them all.

Hmm, yes.

I presume you just read a third of my post and presummed that I was only referring to the lighting and look of IV. No, give my original comment another read. IV is still darker than V, I mean did you even play the game? Niko loses so many he loves and- well the story is just really dark. It's much mor darker than some dumb psychopathic hick, a thug from 'the hood' rolleyes.gif or some rich man who hates his family.

I suggest you read the psychoanalysis of the 3 characters again.

(From your argument, I suggest you read them for the first time.)

I wasn't talking about their f*cking stories, I'm talking about their existence.

Um, I read it already. And you think their existance is darker than Niko's?

I'm done, go ahead and believe V is darker.

I really don't wanna directly say anything mean to anyone...

Here's the synopsis:

Michael's existence and role in this GTA means that it's impossible for a GTA character to quit without a canonical death.

Trevor's existence and role in this GTA means that embracing the fact that you're a GTA character potentially drives you insane.

Franklin's existence and role in this GTA means that GTA characters are born (Well ..Made) all the time, even if they don't want to.

I think you didn't play GTA III.

A GTA character isn't a menace or a mass murderer

Claude Speed was always into the crime scene. Messing with the police... Killing people... He was always like that. Also, it got even worse when Catalina betrayed him. I played the entire story. So I know what I'm talking about.

The people that think this is about lighting.

You don't want to be mean? Go head and say what you want to say. You were kind of wrong to begin with.

No. GTA 4 is definitely the darkest of them all... you can tell by the trailers. Compare GTA 5's trailer to GTA 4's trailers. GTA 5 looks alot more alive, even if the story isnt (which i HIGHLY doubt) the mood of the game is still alot more sunny and bright.

So this is the 4th or 5th time I said this?

I'm not talking about the graphics and I'm not talking about the story or their personalities.

You know what. ..Screw this.

I'm not even gonna keep talking.

Boo hoo. Your reasons for thinking GTAV will be the darkest is laughable. No offense.

You haven't played GTAV yet, you should stop talking like you're an expert. These characters will have depth and layers.

Seems like you're trying really hard to make this seem way more dramatic than it really is...

Niko's story was really dark. Doesn't look that it's going to be like that for V.

To be honest now it's about telling people I'm not talking about brightness, story or the characters' personalities.

Honestly, i make the character be whatever i want him to be. I know there's a story and background and everything, but in the end ill be roleplaying them in whatever role i want. Yeah i probably will stick to their traits on how they look/talk n sh*t.

Michael - I will probably role play him as some sort of mobster bad ass old guy. Like somethin out of the movie Casino or whatever. He will be the Clint Eastwood type of dude who can f*ck people up real bad, but is very smart about it.

Trevor - Will be the don't f*ck with me type of guy when i free roam, i have a feeling i'll be murdering people a lot with Trevor. If someone bumps me in traffic i'll probably rage out and kill the dude and his whole family. Probably use him to pilot most air vehicles.

Franklin - Most likely i'll play him as a bad ass gangster, with him being a pretty tough young guy, i'll be killin gangsters all over Los Santos with Franklin, when it comes to skydiving, driving or rippin it up on the sanchez i'll be using Franklin most of the time as well.

Franklins' story has the potential for tragedy written all over it. Especially hooking up with these two monsters to commit huge heists.

Yeah this is exactly the way I will play

-Michael for cruising around, minigames, ATM robberies etc.

-Trevor for destroying everything on sight

-Franklin for extreme-sports, stunts, store robberies etc.

When you want to prove your point, you do a comparison with all the other GTA's. Explain why this stands out against GTA IV. Niko's story was pretty effing depressing if I do say so myself.

It's pretty hard to make a solid statement that the game ISN'T as dark as GTA IV when we haven't played it. Hell for all we know this could be the GTA with the most storyline characters dying or losing people related to the protagonists, we just don't know off of trailer assumptions.

So you're stating that you're not talking about the characters... But you just listed them on your explanation... What's your point ?
