Always interested to hear feedback and to know what other GTA enthusiasts do with their first opportunity.

 

Personally, I'm headed straight for the country, desert, sandy shores, chilliad, etc. I felt those were some of the best location types in SA. Hopefully RS's got some tricks up their sleeves and is leaving us with some nice easter eggs.

First I'll do the first couple of missions. Then head to Mt. Chilliad. I just have to go to the highest point of the map and check it out.

Haha i like reform's post. And yeah Ace High, I'll probably do the same with a few missions to get started then for me it's straight out to the desert. Looking for Cultists because, you know what they say , "There's cultists everywhere friend!"

Where ever I end up after a police chase

 

First thing I will do is punch someone right in the nose, presumably police will come after me, then while driving, as I will be getting used to driving, I will probably accidentally run over pedestrians, resulting in more stars. I will then have to drive quite far to escape them.

 

After escaping them, I will walk back to area where trevors trailer home is, taking in the sights as I do so. Probably punching more people along the way and setting fire to things.

I tend to agree with Staples. I'll likely jack the first car that catches my eye (preferably a bicycle) and wander aimlessly for a while. I'm sure it won't take too long before I'm tempted to collect a few weapons from the gracious LSPD (just the basic pistol, nightstick, and shotgun - no massive rampage yet) then ditch the heat and wander again. If all three protagonists are available from the start, I'll likely do this for each of them to see the locale they call home and grab some starter gear.

 

Once I have had my first look at the world, its time to jack a nice car and find a garage. I won't have much cash, but I'm very curious what we can do for customization.

Hmm... hard to tell. Probably gonna take one of the bus tours, or if possible, a helicopter flight like in IV to get a good overview of the city and things.

The airport. It's the first thing I did as a kid with SA, and it will be the first thing I do as an adult with V.

Interesting thread.

Most likely I'll be heading to Santa Monica - or Del Perro - and Vespucci first with Michael. I'll pick up a Dewbauchee - that coupe from Michael's trailer - from a dealership and cruise the Pacific Coast Hwy, lurking for buyable beach houses and a few cool shops/restaurants. Then I will pick up my coupe from a parking lot, after shopping, and head up the Pacific Coast Hwy. From there I will find a route that heads into the country and search for a freeway. I will then head to Mt. Chiliad taking whatever roads that lead me there. I'll park my car in a open space and just camp out/hike around Mt. Chiliad.

Since the submarine will probably be hard to find in the beginning, I'm going to equip scuba gear sit in a car and drive it into the ocean and start exploring

I have no idea.... Absolutely no plans. I will be running.. walking.. riding and driving but I dont know where would that be.. I will just roam around looking at the beautiful world R* created..... Its been such a long time since I have had that feeling.

 

I still remember the first time I played VC, first time I popped in San Andreas and IV... just aimlessly driving around having no idea where I am. I will try to stay in the city first, I will go to the countryside when the game introduces it.

 

One of the first things I will be doing after driving around like an idiot is look for Grove Street and see if it is there.

Liking these responses and even better to see that there's still a large mass of ppl like me who appreciate the beauty of the world's best free roam game.

 

Even though I don't have a definitive plan (aside from the desert/country) I'm looking forward so much to the random-world events like in RDR. The second they started mentioning things like hitchhikers trying to steal your car, deciding whether to help those with cars broken down, it automatically gave the game such a sense of realism.

 

Can't wait to see how to NPCs interact in the game for sure

For me, its the city with Micheal. Cruise around downtown and then head up to the hills and look at the mansions, cars etc. Then with Franklin to the ghetto, and do repo missions if we can, and then the desert and stuff with Trevor.

Probably start with a really long drive. The country highways look fantastic. The city looks great. I'm really curious about the new driving physics. The new sport cars look fun. Get a fast car and hopefully the health cheat so I don't lose it quickly. I'll definitely hit a few pedestrians to see if there's anything different there. I'll probably drive every major road as soon as the game lets me.

sounds like a good plan smoky. I kind of have a similar idea with cruising down the major highways but am really curious as to what goes on in the small towns (especially the backwoods/desert ones).

 

More than anything I want to see what kind of Random World Events are there and whether the events differ from location to location

 

i.e., hopefully rockstar makes sure that an event, like actress escaping paparazzi, doesn't occur in Grapeseed or Sandy Shores, or that a country bumpkin looking for his daughter kidnapped by meth heads doesn't pop up in Vinewood

I don't have any particular destination. Jus goin to drive and head any where that moves me at the moment.

 

A broad knowledge of your environment will enable you to have a much more varied and interesting experience. There will be plenty of time to focus on specific goals. RDR did a great job giving you tasks that encouraged you to explore.

Exactly like what twister said. I'm just hoping for a similar situation as in RDR where you can free roam way out in the country/bush and still encounter Random World Events. Couple things that could make them better though

 

1) A little more cinematic into to some (but not all) of the random events

2) Greater variety of events

- While RDR's were awesome it seemed like after you encountered 3-4 different ones they just started to repeat themselves with only a slight variation in location

- hopefully they can at least add 10+ different ones so that it takes significantly longer to get tired of them

3) Add a few "high profile cases" (similar to some of the GTA IV ones)

- this would be things similar to GTA IV where you meet with Eddie Low (serial killer), find a large amount of dead bodies in the desert next to emptied firearms, trucks, and cash, stumbling upon mysteries with the Epsilon program, etc.

 

I'd love to see some Random Events that get really deep into the mysterious aspect and not just bang bang shoot em up, you know?

Deep sea diving for me easily! Why? because its the first GTA game, that has fully supported and functional wildlife in all dimensions (water, air and earth)! And sure as hell first open world "city-themed" game ever to include fully detailed, graphically beast and explorable sea floor with lots of stuff to do!...Can't wait to see what mysteries i can discover in the deep waters of LS!

Grab an 18 wheeler.. wait for it to become evening and hit the highway with some badass music..

I'm just going to walk around for hours like I did in San Andreas, maybe hit up a strip club and get a private dance. I'll probably do this with all three characters.
