I think that was more or less what the Houser brothers were going for when they built the GTA 3 3D world, ofcourse with a over sarcastic view of reality.

No I don't want the game to be a real life simulator. I want the environment + physics to be life like, so cars handle realisticly'ish and the streets do look and feel like LA etc etc... but then I want to muck about with it all in both a realistic AND unrealisticly way. I want to be chased by the police in a realistic way but then when I want to get out my gravity gun and watch them float away etc etc. I know the gravity gun should (and is) on the wishlist but I want it in the same way I want to pull a rocket launcher out of my pocket. I want to jump off a rooftop and parachute into a moving car. I want to drive this car up into a plane that's about to take off. Its this that makes GTA great. I would NEVER want GTA to go down the ultra realistic route. If another sandbox game does a real life sim, then that would still be a good game in its own right probably for those that want it, but GTA aint a real life sim. It is a realistic piece of the world that has been created for us to do stupidly fun sh*t in. And PLEASE let us muck about with the physics rockstar... PLEASE!!!! If you guys remember the 'cars float away when hit cheat' from San Andreas, this is the fun cheat things I want back. All those cheats made SA one of the most replayable games ever. Awesome.

No, definitely not. Too much realism is a bad thing. Imagine how bad it would be to have stuff like fuel and traffic stops and all that. What's next, if you get shot you instantly die in a gun fight? I think they should keep a fine line between classic, crazy GTA and serious GTA, and it seems they have done a great job.

I didn't vote. I don't want it strictly one or another. I want GTA to stay the way it is but I'd love them to add a realism mode. There are people who will play it, I will, and if you don't want to play it then you don't need to.

 

Admit it, when we've all been bored we've obeyed traffic lights, let pedestrians take their time crossing the road and not speeding. I'd like to have it enforced and not just imagined. I want a cop to fine me or chase me. I want fuel to run out so if I'm in a chase it adds a new dynamic. You have 5 stars and the army are after you but you need to steal another car or it'll run out of fuel. We've had to do it many times when our cars caught fire.

If i want to play a simulator i will use DCS World, Train Simulator 2013 (waiting for someone to say something), FSX, ARMA etc instead.
